Great introduction to Funchal - The tour gave us a really good feel for Funchal at the start of our break. Manu was an enthusiastic guide and considerate throughout. We were a small group of four whijc meant we were able to ask lots of questions.

An Enjoyable Experience - He lovely Alexandra was our volunteer guide and did a great job! She guided us around historic buildings, streets & markets whilst giving us lots of information on the story of Madeira and its people as well as other little fun facts and useful nuggets (like no matter how you try to speak Portuguese the locals will talk to you in English! She pointed out good places to buy local foods, explained which to try and also tourist traps to avoid! Alexandra was friendly, cheerful and so we had a very enjoyable tour. Thank you!

It was a good overview of the old city - The tour gave a very good overview of the city. We had a young guide who knew a lot, considering that she was a young girl from abroad living some months in Madeira. Really respect how much she has been learning. I learned quite much about the main sightseeings. On the other hand, I normally like to make walking tour to experience the local culture and I was expecting a local guide or a guide with longer local experience to share more the details. But I understood that this is the purpose of this tour, since the guides are volunteers collecting donations, which gave a good feeling..
