Very enjoyable and relaxing levada walk. - This was my first levada walk, and what a good choice! It was a half day trip, and the walk was an ideal length, and always easy with wide paths. It was mostly through woodland with many lovely views and examples of typical houses and smallholdings. Julia, the guide, was great, so friendly and knowledgeable. She explained a lot about the levada system, the flowers, trees and wildlife. She always answered any questions and chatted about any subject that we raised. The organisation and transport were fine. I would certainly recommend this walk without hesitation.

Picturesque leisurely walk - Leisurely stroll through flower filled picturesque woodland, a real forest bathing experience. Not a strenuous or long walk, a good starter walk for anyone not used to long walks and there are no steps to navigate. The guide was very informative and they pointed out local flora and fauna.

Lovely easy flat levada walk - This was a very easy, peaceful and lovely levada walk. There were other groups in front and behind (this tour is offered by many operators on a Tuesday when we went). There was a stop about half way through with a cafe (where we bought a drink and had a sit down) and there were toilets available. It was cooler there than down on the coast and I wished I had followed the advice of the operator to bring a jacket!

Very easy levada walk for literally anyone - This is a very very easy levada walk. It's really flat underfoot and has no drops to worry about whatsoever. The guide gave lots of descriptions about the plants you pass but would advise being at the front of the group to really take all of this in. The walk is made even easier but a cafe break halfway through. If you're looking to just get out there and don't want to worry about heights / distance / uneven floors - and are interested purely in learning about the flora and fauna - this would be the walk for you. If you want something with views / a bit more challenging (but not too challenging) and plants then skip this one and go for the referta walk.

Disappointment - No commuication skills, bad English, just a walk in the woods, no promised beautiful views. Don't waste your time and money
