Great hike! - It was a great hike! The signs telling you where to go were spot on. The sun rise was gorgeous and the trail was fun!

Amazing trip! A MUST do!! - Absolutely amazing experience! As explained, Pedro picked us up from our hotel ready for the sunrise experience. Pedro was a lovely driver, very informative about the routes we were to do and explained all the signs and what we would need to look out for to complete the hikes. He also re-showed us this when we arrived to ensure we knew exactly what route to follow. He got us to the peak for sunrise and what an experience! To see the cloud inversion over madeira and the sunrise was just breathtaking. Sadly we did not get to do the full PR1 trail due to forest fires (you do get informed of this before the tour) so some of the route was shut but we were able to go to the stairway of heaven and the views were spectacular! We then went onto the PR3 trail back to meet Pedro. Beautiful scenary of the mountains throughout. We were given 5 hours to complete both walks which was plenty of time as we managed to sit and take in the views to eat breakfast during this. Just a note the PR3 trail is mainly downhill and can be very testing on the knees / calves (we are used to hiking but we were aching the next day!) Definitely worth the early morning start and was the highlight of our trip!! Thank you so much!

Super half day at Pico da Areiro - Punctual, fast trips, Filipe our guide of the day was able to advise us to observe the most beautiful sunrise, full information on the island were provided during the trips!

An absolute must - Excellent tour from start to finish. Henrique was punctual and very helpful. Kept me from getting lost at least twice. Comfortable drive to mount top which was great cause we avoided all the busy traffic and parking so early in the morning. Highly recommend it cause it can get very crowded fast. As far as the hike goes, PR1 was amazing, an absolute must! Beyond beautiful during the sunrise but be advised very windy and cold so dress appropriately and bring gloves!. PR3 very scenic and very harsh on the knees. A few unexpected wet and slippery spots so make sure your footwear is sturdy. Other than that an great hike and killer leg workout

Punctual and excellent service, shame about the weather - Friendly and knowledgable driver Pedro - punctual and on time. Plenty of information prior to setting off. Unfortunately, cloudy cold and very windy so not much of a view. Pack up warm if heading in March / April.

Sensational sunrise and wonderful walks - Prompt collection and brought to Pico Da Arieiero in 40 mins. Great to see the sunrise so high up and then onto PR1 and amended alternative walk PR3- we were super pleased - well worth it and good value! 🌅

A morning I will never forget! - Seeing the sun rise above the clouds was incredible! The hike was also amazing, with views that have to be seen to believe. Thank you for a great morning!

Good challenge, shame about the weather - The information provided by our driver was perfect. Unfortunately for us the weather was challenging, wind, sleet and thick cloud. So visibility was not great. However we enjoyed the experience and the walk. We were given plenty of time to complete the hike. I would suggest that you take more clothes than you think, even if the weather is good in Funchal it can be quite different in the mountains. Good walking boots are essential. We had a coffee and used the facilities at PRI after walking to the stairway to heaven and back, worth taking that little break and warming up before the decent on the PR3 route.

Can’t control the weather - Unfortunately for us, the weather was awful on the day we planned this. One a bright note our driver Nuno was on time and gave us some great tips on things to see while in Madeira.
