We climb via Camacha, a little village in the mountains…
- Pico Do Areeiro - There is no better way of starting the day than to experience the unique sunrise in Madeira… very invigorating! An event of this nature, only Pico do Areeiro can provide at it’s best. We start climbing up to Areeiro, the 3rd highest peak of Madeira with 1818m of altitude. We climb via Camacha, a little village in the mountains famous by it’s wickers pieces. After Camacha is Poiso, wich has a shelter house now turned in to a bar/restaurant, and marks the 1500m of altitude… and finally we arrive at Pico do Areeiro, the highest point in Madeira, and an unique place to watch the sunrise After the sunrise we go down in remote routs, in which we can appreciate Santo da Serra, a village surrounded by raw nature and breathatking views. The final descent to Santa Cruz, a city most known by the airport, and we will use very remote and narrow roads, that provides amazing postcards pictures. - Balcoes de Ribeiro Frio - The beautifull viewpoint is in the middle of the Laurisilva Forest, along a very flat hiking trail… at the end you will be amazed by the views! - Miradouro do guindaste - A beautifull glasswalk viewpoint in Santana’s district called Faial, where we can see the beautifull northcoast of Madeira, where you will be overwhelmed by the views!

10/10 would recommend - the whole tour was perfectly executed. Hugo communicated very well prior to the day letting me know what to expect in terms of weather forecast, pick up time etc. Punctual pick-up, was very informative on the drive to the tour, letting us know all about Madeira and some interesting facts- he was such a lovely guide and I feel like he really cared about his clients. He did not rush - he made sure we were satisfied before moving to the next location! Honestly if you’re considering who to go with go with Hugo! I will be recommending to all my friends when I get back to the UK! Thanks again Hugo, you made my solo trip very enjoyable 😊

It was fun to try. I... - It was fun to try. I enjoyed the sunrise and the balcoes hiking. Hugo also brought us to a very unique and peaceful snack bar and gave us free coffee . would really recommend this tour

1000 out 10 - If I could put more than 5 stars I would have done it. Hugo is literally the most patient and thoughtful guide ever, he doesn't hesitate to share his knowledge and does his best to make his travelers feel confortable.

A Fantastic Experience at Sunrise in Areeiro Peak - Sunrise in Areeiro was the perfect trip and Hugo was the perfect guide. Communication via email worked very well and pick-up/drop-off was organised to suit us. The trip was amazing and as described in the itinerary. Hugo’s personal touch ensured we had a very relaxing experience without being rushed in any way.
I would definitely recommend Hugo and for future trips he will be our first choice.

Best guide for first time visitors to Madeira - Hugo was an exceptional host for this breathtaking experience of a lifetime. He was very prompt with communication, answering any questions I had before the day of the event. The night before he followed up to provide a status update on weather conditions and that he would confirm that things were good to go for the next morning. He communicated right on time as he said he would and picked us up close to our hotel. He was very warm and friendly and provided lots of great information and stories. He’s very knowledgeable about the island and for anyone visiting Madeira for the first time I would highly recommended him to be your tour guide! 10/10!

Probably the best tour we have ever experienced! - This morning we did the sunrise tour with Hugo and we are overwhelmed at how amazing this tour was,
Hugo picked us up at 0630 and we headed up to Pico Do Areeiro, when we arrived at the top, he showed us all the great spots to watch the sunrise and then he waited in his jeep so we could watch the sunrise on our own. Words or pictures can not explain how incredible the sunrise looks from the mountains and we are so glad we witnessed it in person!
After the sunrise we got back into the jeep and headed down to our next point which was a Levada walk with a viewpoint at the end, this view was breathtaking and just as beautiful as the sunrise itself! We are so grateful that Hugo shared this walk with us. When finished at the viewpoint we had a quick coffee (courtesy of Hugo) at a lovely café in the mountains.
Onto our final viewpoint and this place was so peaceful and really showcased how beautiful Madeira is.
I wholeheartedly recommend Hugo’s sunrise tour, he is a fantastic and very kind guide (and person) his knowledge and facts about his home island really added to our experience. Thank you again, Hugo!

Lovely tour - Hugo was a great guide, friendly, upbeat and very knowledgeable about all things Madeira. The sunrise at Arieiro peak was magical and unforgettable experience. Highly recommend it!

Beyond the Surprising - Phenomenal, but really difficult. The path to get there is not accessible to everyone especially to those who have vertigo or difficulty with movement

Sunrise above the clouds - It was a fun and exiting experience. We went for the sunrise tour and short hike plus some additional view points and unexpected off road experience to the waterfall.
Hugo was on time, shared his knowledge about Madeira. We also enjoyed coffee together.

Perfect sunrise/morning tour! - The whole tour was amazing! Our guide was so informative and friendly. I recommend this tour to anyone! Relatively low intensity for the activities but we saw a ton- which was perfect for what we were looking for. 10/10
