Great for meeting people - Pedro was an amazing guide and person. Even though most PR1 was closed, we still saw the stairway to heaven. The alternate route through PR3 was great.

Great hike. - Highly recommended, it is definitely worth it. Hike was perfectly organized except for weather forecast for the day. Unfortunately, PR1 is currently only partially walkable, but the proposed alternative via PR3 was also very interesting. Thanks to organizers for the perfect communication and to the driver who was really very nice and helpful.

An easy, convenient, and dependable way to get to something beautiful! - Pickup for this hike was right on time. Vehicle was very comfortable. Driver did an excellent job of providing information, making sure we had a clear idea of timing, and was there waiting for us at the end. A great service and the company made it so easy to go on the hike that I came here to do. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Hike of a lifetime!! - Absolutely the highlight of our stay in Madiera and the day of a lifetime! We had fabulous weather and the trails were in good shape. Do be ready with water and good hiking shoes and for changes in temperature. With PR1 partially closed we were given advanced notice and details of the modified hike. The coordination was done the day prior by whats app the day prior so having a cell phone handy to complete those chats was vital. Our driver arrived promptly, we made it up to Pico de Arieiro with plenty of time for the sunrise and enjoyed the trails PR1 & PR3 at a comfortable pace until our meeting time and a drive back to funchal.

Beautiful views - The hike started out very cold and rainy but the views were definitely worth it. Our driver also gave us great recommendations for the island.

On a clear day… - This was a great excursion. It was a clear morning so the sunrise was beautiful. The hike to Pico do Arieerio was great but a bit scary at times because the path is narrow. It was a bit crowded but people were considerate for the most part. The P2 to Pico Ruvio was closed for clean-up because of fires. The P3 hike back to meet my transfer was a very nice hike. The route was about 7.2k and clearly marked for going alone. A good path. Not hard, but not easy. Fun! There is a bar/restaurant at the end to get a coffee or beer before heading back to Funchal.

Luis for president - Luis was the best. Very fun, great recommendations for other activities to try. Trip to and from the hike was lovely, very scenic and Luis got the group chatting and everyone involved. Loved it. Highly recommend.

Great experience! - The views were gorgeous and the driver to/from the hiking trip was lots of fun to drive with. It was too foggy to see the sunrise unfortunately but I still enjoyed the walk and the views were clearer later in the day. The driver picked us up at 5:30am to take us to the mountains and we were done around 12:20pm. It's a very long hike but it's mostly downhill (make sure your shoes are super comfy cause my feet were killing me from my toes sliding into the front of my shoes on the downhill). There was even a cool abandoned house to explore and donkeys to pet. The 1 star I took off is just because I wish I would have taken the 9am trip instead because of the fog.
