Stunning experience - It was really exceptionally beautiful. Our marine biologist Camila was totally competent, motivated, and you could tell that she loves her job, Francisco, our skipper, was also really nice and brought us safely to the animals without disturbing them! We could see several (2) large groups of dolphins, unfortunately we missed a turtle and seal, but it was still fantastic🤩 if the dolphin groups had no babies with them, we could have gone into the water with them as well, but that it could not be done then is of course totally understandable. Finally, we were able to observe a whole group of beaked whales from a safe distance, but still very fascinating... Thanks to the whole team including spotters for the great experience, we can only recommend it!

Experience not to be missed - The guides, Vlad and Agata, were great: in a good mood and making sure everyone was at their best. We managed to see a group of about fifteen dolphins. The speed boat allowed us to approach without scaring them. Vlad, the skipper, was careful to stay away and change location when there were too many boats. Agata was able to tell us about the types of dolphins we encountered and other aspects. I highly recommend this experience!

Unforgettable experience. - Unforgettable experience. Camilla, the Guide, explained many curiosities of the dolphins. Captain Bladimir took us to strategic locations to see the dolphins respecting their timing.

Best day - Best day: 10 July 2024 Amazing outing today with camila our Guide, very professional, shares all this knowledge about dolphins, fish, birds etc. (By going a lot to test this kind of trip to Mauritius, the meeting etc it's the best I did) We were able to swim with dolphins and make a lot of photos and videos while respecting dolphins, without trying to "hunt" them. Many thanks to Vlad also for driving us perfectly! Do not hesitate, rush! Marine, Julien, Quentin

Fantastic experience - Fantastic experience with Francisco and Camilla. Camilla is extremely competent, it was an honour to do this with her. She respects their environment very much and doesn't want to interfere with nature, which I respected deeply. Unfortunately we weren't able to swim with dolphins but we got to see them up close and they made sure we encountered them. Amazing really, truly recommended.

Dolphin spotting - Fabulous experience. Fun ride out on the boat culminating with locating a pod of 7 bottlenose dolphins that swam close to the boat. Despite choppy conditions we were able to get good photos of the dolphins. Would recommend this experience!

Dolphin Experience is a MUST…I went twice! - I'm a big scuba diver but have never had the pleasure of interacting with wild dolphins (most divers never will) and I refuse to support captive dolphin interactions. Madeira is one of the few places in the world you can getting in the water with wild dolphins. There are strict laws around interacting with the dolphins which is great to see. Spotters on land direct the captain of the marine life so there's no wasting time wondering around for 2 hours. Small Zodiac style boat, seats 12, 4 in the water at a time (2 in front 2 in back), everyone only goes once as there's not enough time for everyone to go twice. Once encountered the maximum time the boat can stay near the dolphin pod is 10 minutes…so you'll get about 2 minutes in the water but it's 1000% worth it. Incredible! When you're not around the dolphins you whale watch for the remaining time. It's such a unique experience to Madeira I went back the next day…and was tempted to go a third time given the reasonable price and the uniqueness of the experience. Got in the water with Atlantic Spotted Dolphins Day #1 and #2, three Sperms whales (2 adults + calf) Day #1 and a Fin whale Day #2. An excellent activity packed into only 2 hours in the morning so you'll still have the afternoon for other activities…like scuba diving…which I did with Azul. Professional shop, friendly staff, easy to book online. I recommend Azul for both activities while on the island.

major back problems now - Went Monday last week (it's Monday today) and seriously screwed up my back. They were competing with another speedboat to get to the dolphins first and it was quite choppy. The boat kept slamming over the waves. The skipper, Francisco, was in the back of the boat and thus didn't feel the impact as much as the front (where I was sitting). After I was really hurt (have not had back problems before) and changed seats towards the back, he did not hold back and seemed to even speed up more on the way back. Even the person that had switched to my front seat asked to switch further back again. I tried to ride the way back standing up to avoid any further impact on my back. I thought I was going to be ok once we arrived, but that evening my back seized up. Since then I'm in major pain when moving and it has not improved during the past 8 days. Yes, we saw many dolphins, but it so wasn't worth it. I travel full-time and if this has caused permanent damage I'll have to give that up. I had to cancel every excursion I had booked.
