A great introduction to the historic Galle Fort - A great introduction to Galle Fort by a knowledgeable and friendly guide. It really helped us understand that history of the city and served as a great introduction for our 3 night stay.

Good overview tour - The guide had lived in the fort for years as the hostel manager and was very knowledgeable about the fort and workings of the town within. He was able to answer all my questions about history , religion , real estate and politics. Good one especially for a small group.

A great walk in the Fort ! - A personalised walk in the Galle Fort. Madawa is friendly, very informative and a true local who was born in Galle , lived all his life there. Kid friendly too , a comfortable paced walk with great views and lots of information

Must do tour! - The best tour guide we had in our 2 week trip to Sri Lanka! Madawa had an encyclopaedic knowledge of Sri Lanka’s history and current state of affairs. We ended up being the only 2 on the tour which made it a truly unique and personalised experience. Madawa covered all topics from the accidental ‘discovery’ of Sri Lanka by the Portuguese, the street dogs of Sri Lanka, the different industries and exports, and what life is like for Sri Lankan people. Really, no question was left unanswered! Would highly recommend you go on this tour.

Galle greatness in the fort! - This was a fascinating walk through Galle as we learnt about the compelling history of the fort. Our guide was fantastic - he had such knowledge of Galle, and pointed out various historical features, which really helped to bring the fort to life! I particularly enjoyed learning about the architectural dynamics, with the fort having both Dutch and Portuguese influence. I would definitely recommend this walking tour if you’re keen to get to the heart of Galle!

Galle Fort walk - a must do! - We enjoyed this local guided tour of the Galle Fort with Madawa. He was prompt , very friendly and knowledgeable. We learnt about the history of the Fort, SriLanka in general and enjoyed an easy paced walk around this quaint and scenic spot. It was perfect timing for us and good for the time of day and warm conditions… would recommend.
