This country home served as his initial inspiration and experimental space, while also being his retreat for relaxation as his reputation grew over the years. Designed with Bawa’s signature whimsical beauty and eccentric style, the estate is adorned with various art and artifacts from across Asia and Europe. “After traveling for 1 hour, there will be a 45-minute stop at Kosgoda to observe the sea turtles. Kosgoda Sea Turtle Conservation Project - Initiated by Dudley Perera, the Kosgoda Sea Turtle Conservation Project aims to conserve sea turtles and shield them from predators such as birds, dogs, and crabs. Established in the 1980s, Kosgoda is one of 18 hatcheries in Sri Lanka dedicated to the proper breeding of this endangered species. After visiting the Lunuganga Estate, there will be a 30-minute visit to the Kosgoda sea turtles. Following that, the tour will proceed to the Maduganga boat tour. The ticket price for the Kosgoda Sea Turtle Conservation Project is $10 per person.

Galle Fort - Located in the Bay of Galle on Sri Lanka’s southwest coast, Galle Fort was initially constructed in 1588 by the Portuguese and later extensively fortified by the Dutch in the 17th century from 1649 onwards. The tour will conclude with a visit to Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This Fort showcases the unique blend of European architecture and South Asian traditions from the 16th to the 19th centuries. After visiting the Kosgoda turtles, the tour will proceed to the Galle Dutch Fort for a 1-hour walk. Guests can purchase memorable items in Galle Fort before returning to the hotel.
