Highly recommend this tour! - Christopher was a consummate guide. We were the only two on the tour, and he took very good care of us, taught us so much Galveston history, and was very flexible as we asked a lot of questions. Highly recommend!

Great tour - Thomas did a wonderful job. More of a historical tour with some stories about the history of killings and the 1900 storm. Very much worth the money especially if you are a history buff. Even my 13 year old son loved it. He tells great stories and is very knowledgeable.

The Strand and the 1900 Storm - Tyler is a great guide. He took us through the Strand tour, but also does all of the other tours, and knows them well too. I'm a local who scheduled this for visiting friends. I have learned quite a bit of Galveston history since moving here but Tyler added to my knowledge. The 1900 storm is the source of many ghost stories, and he provided information I'd never heard before. I won't divulge what it is, so you have to take the tour to find out.

Ghostly Disappointment - This was quite a lame tour. We started the "tour" one block from the train museum, walked 1/2 block past the museum, then back to finish the tour across the street from our starting point. A whole 3 blocks in a straight line. Thomas, our guide pointed out Ike's High Water markers and 1900 storm markers on a building and told a little history of the 1900 storm. Then we walked to the museum. He told a story about a girl who jumped out a window. then we walked 1/2 block alongside the museum. Here he tediously dragged out a story about a boy and another about a mom and son who were all three run over by a train. He went into great detail about why the red-light district was so named. Then we walked back and finished up the tour across the street from where we started. Here he told us a little more about the 1900 storm. The end. Galveston has a truly rich ghost history, especially along the Strand, this tour did not come even close to doing that history justice! For our $125. this tour was a complete bust! 1/10 Do Not Recommend.

Bad experience - The tour was half-assed, we did not get to go see the railroad or the trimmer's house all we did was walk up and down the street, our tour guide Thomas was drunk and he kept on telling us he will make up ghost stories for tips, that's not something you want to hear after paying, and he kept on forgetting what he was saying he kept on asking us what did I say again and if we didn't know it he would get an attitude towards the crowd and just have a meltdown, I'm sorry it's just I expected this trip to be awesome like what the review say but it wasn't it at all
