Additional Information

This awe-inspiring sightseeing adventure includes a two-hour sojourn at the celebrated Cliffs of Moher for exploration, photography, relaxation, and to appreciate all that this globally renowned location presents. Leaving from Galway, your local guide will drive you towards the famous western coastline’s travel path - the Wild Atlantic Way, passing by bustling harbours, functioning farms, medieval wreckage, 16th-century fortified dwellings and stone-made churches. Our first pit stop is the historically rich Dunguaire Castle. Further, we proceed towards the Burren’s glacio-karst topography, while crossing the Corcomroe Abbey from the 12th century. Adhering to the Wild Atlantic Way, we gradually sight the three Aran Islands. Next is Doolin Pier for a photograph opportunity and to experience the Atlantic breeze. Then we halt for lunch at Doolin Hotel to enjoy their tasty local sea food dishes. When we reach the Cliffs of Moher, take a leisurely walk along the cliff top to admire the striking vistas of the vast ocean and sky. Our journey concludes by returning to Galway through Lisdoonvarna, known for its yearly matchmaking festival.

Much Better Than Expected! - We took the Cliffs of Moher day tour through The Burren, Doolin and along the Wild Atlantic Way. It was fantastic! The bus was comfortable. Good seats, comfortable temperature, some storage overhead & under your seat, not a lot of legroom. Our goal was to experience the region, especially the countryside & the highlights. We absolutely loved it. Stops along the way were well timed to stretch and experience beautiful locations. Our Driver/Guide, Phil, is the absolute BEST! He is engaging, incredibly nice and knows the area so well that we learned way more than we anticipated which added so much depth to the tour. You could tell that everyone saw Phil as a friend and a trusted guide. If he said, "Go over there," or, "Stay away from there," we did. Thank you Phil and Wild Atlantic Tours for making a highlight of our trip better than exprcted! Early 70's travelers, one quite ambulatory, the other a little less physically stable on their feet.

Good Tour - Great tour on a very windy day. Informative and professional. Only downside is that I really don't want to have a "surprise" stop not on the itinerary I purchased that turns out to be a tourist store (chocolate factory)

Great day trip - Our guide Paddy was excellent. He gave so much detail and color to the areas we travelled through. It was a great day with a lot of sights and some fine driving by Hans. Those roads are not easy to travel on! All in all, my family and I had a great time and would recommend this tour to anyone.

Amazing time! - We loved this trip! Phil was our tour guide and he was so knowledgeable and really educated us about each of the sights and Galway! There was enough time at each stop and we even got to add a chocolate factory to our itinerary. This was a trip for my birthday and I loved it!

The best way to see the Cliffs of Moher and beautiful County Claire! - Just a short drive from where we stayed in Galway, Alan picked us up at Eyre Square and took us to a wonderful day through the countryside with the chance to see the Burren and little towns on our way to the famous cliffs… Once there, they do a great job at bringing the geographical feature to life and taking beautiful pictures which are sure to be on your next Christmas card! My last trip to the Cliffs was 2001 before the center was built so we had a real treat! Thanks Alan :)

CollegeGradCelebration Trip! - This event made my Ireland trip. It is a long bus ride out there (1 hour & 45 minutes), but it gave everyone a chance to just look at Ireland's beautiful country and shoreline scenery or snooze a little on the way up an on the return. I expected it to be windy so packing the wind resistant pants and jacket along with walking shoes helped keep me warm and able to tread the steps or little rocky path. Lucky for us, the sun started to come out between the clouds so it was just beautiful! Best Ireland souveniers too in my book!
