As you drive along Clare’s coastline, observe the raw energy of the Atlantic Ocean pummelling the shore. Take the ferry from Doolin to Inisheer, which is the smallest and closest of the Gaeltacht Aran Islands. Be on the lookout for native bottlenose dolphins that sometimes trail the ferry. Inisheer is yours to discover its ancient castles, churches, slim lanes, stone barriers and desolate white sand beaches.
The ferry ride back offers you a picturesque guided cruise beneath the awe-inspiring Cliffs of Moher. Upon returning to Doolin, ascend to the top of the Cliffs of Moher to enjoy a leisurely walk. Leaving the Cliffs behind, you’ll head back to Galway.
