• Lynch’s Castle - Dating back to the 14th century, Lynch’s Castle is a prime example of a medieval town castle in Ireland. Its stonework, carvings, and structure reveal captivating history, lore, and legends associated with the influential Lynch family.

• The Lynch Memorial - This memorial commemorates the famous Lynch Legend, enveloped in myth and lore, with a particularly intriguing story about its origins and the complex facts surrounding it.

• Naughton’s Pub (Tigh Neachtain) - Once the townhouse of one of Galway’s most colorful figures, Richard “Humanity Dick” Martin, this pub is now a must-visit spot and a hub for Galway’s artistic community and locals. It also offers the best tips and recommendations for food, drink, and shopping.

• Kirwan’s Lane - A tranquil escape running parallel to the bustling Quay Street, this lane is home to hidden gems and rich history.

Growing up in Galway has given me an intimate knowledge of the rich and vibrant history of the jewel of the west, Galway.

Much like the strong currents of the River Corrib that run through it, the stories and tales of its inhabitants have flowed through my life. A family heritage of storytelling imbued me with a love for imparting a good yarn.
