• Abai Village - Situated across the sea from Sokcho Market, this village is home to those who settled here after the Korean War, unable to return to their hometowns. A visit offers a glimpse into the lives of residents who long for North Korean cuisine and their families. To reach Abai Village, one must cross the sea using a distinctive sea boat, which operates by pulling wires connected to each dock.
• Sokcho Central Market - As the most popular market on the East Coast, it boasts a variety of foods and unique attractions typical of a fishing village market, including fresh snow crab dishes, squid sundae, and potato pancakes. Lunch will be enjoyed here.
• Seoraksan National Park - Among Korea’s many mountains, Mt. Seorak stands out as a favorite for its vibrant scenery and stunning natural environment. Visitors can explore Mt. Seorak by trekking or taking a cable car to the mountain’s midpoint for breathtaking views.
