An amazing boat trip with an Excellent and Knowledgeable Guide - The boat trip was amazing. We have never seen so many whales (calves with mothers), in any other place before as well as at least 100 dolphins, as well as seals. The guide took us around Gansbaai, and explained with passion and knowledge so much about whales, he had our family group of 6 adults and our 3 teenage grandchildren mesmerized with all the explanations and closeness to these amazing mammals. An unforgettable experience highly recommended from Gansbaai which is far less touristic than Hermanus, but perfect for whale watching.

An Unforgettable Once-in-a-lifetime Experience! - We felt the friendliness and hospitality of the crew from the moment we arrived. Jan, our highly-experienced skipper gave us a thorough safety briefing and some great advice to ensure we had the best experience possible. After a short trip out of the harbour under Jan's guidance and a brief, smooth trip, we saw our first pair - a Mom and her calf in minutes. That was only the start, and thereafter, our wonder grew as we saw over a dozen pairs of Moms and their calves. Our host was a trove of information, educating us in a friendly and kind manner. I learned information I'm sure I'd never be able to gain anywhere else. My girlfriend and I couldn't have wanted for more. So many photographs, videos, and most importantly, a once-in-a-lifetime experience that we'll remember for the rest of our lives! Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the team! Our experience far exceeded the price paid. Don't waste time with anyone else! Ivanhoe is the way to go!

Excellent… what I had hoped for - The crew were very friendly and were able to get us up close with the whales. A great experience overall. Did a 5pm cruise, good light but slightly cool.

I recommend - I couldn't have expected better. The weather was great, we saw the whales so close it was really nice and we were lucky enough to see lots of dolphins. The guides were really friendly and seemed to know a lot. It was so interesting.
