It was a great tour. - Very interesting and informative, we saw a lot of monkeys and even had an encounter with two of the monkeys which really made the trip. I would recommend it to anyone who loves animals or who is curious about animals.

Excellent experience! - Monkeyland was a great experience and they have great education and protection for the monkeys. We took a 9 and 11 year old on the tour and they loved it. The guide was knowledgeable and patient. So many monkey species from around the world. And lots of ring tailed lemurs a favourite!

First rate animal encounter - great family experience! - Supporting wildlife sanctuaries can be a bit of a guessing game in South Africa. Some reserves claim to be sanctuaries but allow touching and petting and feeding or purchase animals who should remain in the wild. Monkeyland is a true sanctuary. It is part of SASSA - a local sanctuaries alliance and endorsed by WildChoices (WildChoices is a non-profit company dedicated to improving the state of the captive wildlife tourism industry). Monkeyland provides a home for primates which were rescued from zoos, labs, circuses or were unwanted pets. Monkeyland is a world leading refuge and the lemurs, monkeys and apes here roam freely. There are awesome opportunities to learn about primate behaviour from the guides, take photos or videos or just watch the animals grooming, feeding and swinging. Our kids are 5 and 8 and they loved every minute of this tour. Warning - please listen carefully to the guides, they advise visitors to put away sunshades and if you ignore them your property is likely to get pinched by some of the clever animals. We loved seeing the White Handed Gibbons and the lanky Black Spider Monkey. Please consider the purchase of a square metre of the Forest on behalf of the monkeys. The goal is that they will eventually own their own home!

Wonderful Experience - What a great couple of hours exploring all 3 parks. Monkeyland - our tour guide Elano was very knowledgeable, educating us on the various primates within the sanctuary. Good to see the work being done to ensure the primates live a happy and safe life. Well done to all Birds of Eden - we strolled round at our own leisure seeing various birds, lovely to finish with the flamingos. Jukani - our tour guide was Elvis, again very knowledgeable, demonstrated compassion for the Big Cats, another inhabitance of the sanctuary. Good sense of humour too. Thank you we had a wonderful experience.

Magical Experience & for a great cause - Wow. 600 monkeys covering 10 species surrounded us in the wild. The trees were alive. Lucky we didn’t get weed on or worse. To see so many different monkeys, large & small, some with babies clinging to their mothers. They did seem unnaturally tame allowing our small group to walk amongst them, but given their history understandable. Feeding stations were where most of the action was. A very memorable visit. Do give a donation to the 1m2 fund if you can before the tour starts.

Had a great time with an abundance of monkeys! - This was a great outdoor adventure to learn and be close with different monkeys. We went during their feeding time so it was very fruitful (excuse the pun) as there were so many monkeys that we could see and some of the rare ones also came out on our guided tour. The sanctuary is beautiful ad it is great to see how they look after these animals who have been abused or abandoned and then putting them in a safe place for them to live well. It is a must for any animal lover!

Fantastic - I loved the time we spent in Monkeyland and would highly recommend it. There are so many monkeys and you can get so close to them without touching and invading their space too much. It was so entertaining and I didn’t stop smiling the whole time. We didn’t have issues with mosquitos after putting on the cream offered at the start point. Our guide was nice and informative too. There were so many lemurs which I loved too. All in all I would recommend this to anyone it was a great experience you’ll travel far to find again elsewhere.

What a day. It was so worth it! - We took the 3 in one and visited all 3 sanctuaries. The guides were very knowledgeable and kept us entertained with their knowledge and stories. Job well done to Itiaan and Elvis. It is really worth the visit and in the same time you support the great work these sanctuaries are doing.
