Riley Conquers a Windy Yellowstone - My wife, Anne, and I traveled to Gardiner Montana and spent a week in and around Yellowstone. A highlight of the week was our rafting trip today, Thursday, August 8, 2024. We were able to schedule a full day rafting trip just last evening and enjoyed our experience greatly with our excellent guide and rafting coach, Riley. Riley was a great source of information. Her safety briefing was outstanding, and every protocol was followed regarding safety. In addition, she guided us expertly for around 18 miles with a break in the middle of the day for lunch. She was good natured, noted interesting sites along the way, shared bits of history and pointed out wildlife as we traveled through flat waters and class one two and three rapids. There was never a time when we felt unsafe, and we gelled as a really fun raft team as we paddled our way down the Yellowstone. All in all this was an outstanding day with nothing negative to say about the company, but a little bit to say about the breeze. There was about a 20 mile an hour headwind as we traveled down river but we made it a fun challenge. We truly enjoyed every aspect of the day.

Great family time on the river - Great day spent with our family of 4 including 2 teenage kids and our guide Brandon on the Yellowstone. Time passed amazingly fast in the full day experience. In August, there was a nice balance for this old lady of scenic floating and some mild rapids. If you are looking for high adventure, this may not be the right match for you in August but sounds like earlier in the season it has more intensity. Thoroughly enjoyed our time on the water and would recommend.

Great float - Had a great time! Our guide was excellent and professional. Lunch was better than expected, would recommend to anyone looking for a great float trip. Wish the river was a little more challenging but could have been the time of year!

Highly recommend! - Highly recommend if you’re thinking of doing whitewater rafting near Yellowstone! The guides were so great, super knowledgeable, especially ours, Jack! We did the all day paddle and our kids had the best time!

Wild West Rafting is the best! - This is a “must do” if you are coming to Yellowstone. And Wild West is the only company to do it with! I have rafted with them several times and they go above and beyond to make sure you have an exceptional experience! And don’t forget to tip your guides. 😊

Nico is amazing!!! This is a must! - This was such an awesome experience! My husband and I brought our 2 teenage sons and we all had a blast. Nico was an amazing guide, and the entire team was excellent. Absolutely do the full day trip!

Must do! - Awesome experience white water rafting with Wild West Rafting. Will was so funny, fun and professional. Our lunch was delicious. The rafting wasn’t as rough as I thought in my head. Most of the full day on the yellow stone river was relaxing!

Wild Ride on the Yellowstone River!!! - We had SO much fun on this adventure!! And that's shocking for me to say because I was so apprehensive (aka get me the h*ll out of here) prior. "Captain" Morgan was our guide and she was fabulous - so skilled and made sure we had the best trip. Most of the trip was calm and we got to know our raft mates. But when you hit the rapids, the fun really kicked in. Trust me - if I enjoyed it and would do it again, you can do it too.

Family blast - Absolutely great day on the river. Our family of 7 (kids age 17-28) had a blast. Definitely recommend the full day. Lunch was a perfect stop about halfway thru.
