Highlights
  • Yellowstone National Park - Embark on a full-day adventure in Yellowstone’s Northern Range!

This region is renowned as the premier location globally for observing wild wolves.

Wildlife frequently seen on this tour includes wolves, elk, bison, otters, and more.

With a knowledgeable naturalist guide, hassle-free cancellation, complimentary lunch, and access to advanced optics, you can focus entirely on enjoying your time in the park.

  • Roosevelt Arch - Located at the Northeast entrance of the park in Gardiner, the Roosevelt Arch is a historic monument constructed by the US Army.

In 1903, President Roosevelt laid the cornerstone of this arch.

The top of the arch bears a quote: “For the Benefit and Enjoyment of the People.”

This quote is from the Organic Act of 1872, the legislation that established Yellowstone.

Inform your guide if you’d like to stop and see the arch, and they will gladly accommodate your request.

  • Lamar Valley - Yellowstone National Park’s Lamar Valley is internationally acclaimed for its remarkable wildlife concentration.

In winter, harsh conditions drive prey like bison and elk from higher elevations to lower areas near the valley’s roadways.

Consequently, wolves follow their prey, creating ideal conditions for observing them in the wild.

Your guide will provide advanced optics, including binoculars and spotting scopes, allowing you to view Yellowstone’s magnificent wildlife from a safe, responsible distance.

Additional Information

Yellowstone’s severe winter conditions push elk and bison to lower elevations, particularly in Lamar Valley where they are frequently seen near roadways.

Wolves trail their prey to these lower elevations, weakened by food scarcity and harsh weather.

Visitors from around the globe come to the park to witness the dramatic lives of wolves during the winter months, as their position in the food chain fluctuates.

This Yellowstone winter tour, which includes a complimentary lunch, access to advanced optics, and an experienced guide, delves into the dynamic relationship between wolves and their prey, the history of wildlife management in Yellowstone, and the incredible challenges wildlife face during the park’s coldest months.
