Highlights
- Garni Temple - Garni Temple (77 A.D.) – the first stop – is the only standing temple in the whole post-Soviet area. Garni gracefully stands on a high plateau overlooking the Azat river gorge. You will also see the roman bath house with the mysterious mosaic, made out of 30,000 pieces of natural stones, as well as the ruins of the royal palace of 3rd century A.D.
- The Monastery of Geghard - The next stop of the tour is the monastic complex of Geghard. Translated into English as “Monastery of the Holy Lance”, it refers to the lance with which Longinus pierced Jesus. Later brought to Armenia and kept in the Geghard monastery for 5 centuries. The most astonishing part is the virtue of the architect, who cut the church right into the solid rock whilst considering all the rules of Armenian architecture.

Perfect tours for historical and parts of Armenia - We had an amazing tour around Armenia with Yerani travel. The tour guide Hasmik was really professional and passionate about what she does. She gave us detailed explanations and information about every single landmark.
She went for an extra mile and taught us about the overall history of Armenia.
Would highly recommend having tours with her and with the company in general.

A perfect tour - What a gorgeous and memorable experience this tour was! Wonderful communication from the whole team, a very kind and professional driver, clean and comfortable transport, glorious and romantic destinations. I'd recommend this tour or any others with this company to anyone visiting Armenia. Excellent all around!

Garni and Geghard tour - We booked a trip to Garni and Geghard via the Yerani Travel website and it was immediately confirmed. The online price list was clear and helpful. We then received email confirmation with the hotel pick-up details - these confirmed that water and tickets would be included within the price.
Our guide arrived at the hotel early and waited in reception for us. She was polite, friendly and eager to help us in any way.
We stopped on the way to Garni for photos of Mount Ararat. We then visited the Garni Temple and looked at the various local food and drink displays outside. Seeing the bread-making was very interesting.
We then drove on to the magnificent Geghard Monastery. Having a guide made the trip so much better as she was able to show us the hidden features and explain the peculiar features of the Monastery.
The drive was not overly long and the traffic was not an issue - certainly much better than in Georgia!
We were never rushed by our guide and she was patient. Plenty of photos were taken for us.
The whole trip took about 3.5 hours but could easily last 4-5 hours if you wished.
I would recommend Yerani as the whole experience was very efficient.
