• Crow Agency - The tour will begin at the Edge of the Camp Gif Shop and your guide will tell you the story of the Centennial Campaign and how the battle played into the demise of the Gen. George Armstrong Custer. The drive to Rosebud Battlefield takes approximately one hour. Your guide will spend the entire hour discussing the story of the battle, the Centennial Campaign, and the factors that led up to the the Battle of Rosebud.
• Rosebud Battlefield State Park - The tour will stop at Rosebud Battlefield to give guests a clear look at how the terrain played a role in the the outcome of the battle. Guests will have a chance to take a restroom break.
• Edge of the Camp Gift Shop - The second half of the tour will discuss the outcome of the Rosebud Battle and how it impacted the the overall Centennial Campaign. Your guide will also discuss the Battle of the Little Bighorn, which is directly connected to the Rosebud Battle. It takes approximately one hour to return to the Edge of the Camp Gift Shop from the Rosebud Battlefield.

The Rosebud Battlefield Expedition delves into the backstory of a commonly overlooked clash in the Indian Wars. Nestled in Rosebud valley, the Sioux and Cheyenne staged an ambush against Gen. George Crook and his brigade, as they were progressing northward to fulfill their piece of the ill-starred Centennial Campaign. The long-drawn battle sprawled across the valley, with the soldiers and warriors contending for the strategic high ground.

The expedition embarks from the Edge of the Camp Gift Shop, situated at 4185 Garryowen Rd, conveniently accessible from Interstate 90 via exit 514. After a 50-minute journey, guests will have a 20-minute stopover at the Rosebud Battlefield. Upon re-boarding, the bus will tour around the battlefield before making its way back to Garryowen.
