Additional Information

As the twilight closes in, and the eerie hour looms nearer, accompany us for an 80-minute, late-night, electrifying trek through the historic district and underground of Edinburgh. The harsh history of Scotland’s capital births an unparalleled, impressive, yet somewhat discomforting vibe that’s apt for evening spectral trips. Allow one of our outfitted guides, impersonating a notorious figure from history, to navigate you through the labyrinthine closes of the Old Town, introduce you to the infamously haunted Greyfriars Kirkyard, and unravel one of Edinburgh’s deepest enigmas – the subterranean vaults that crisscross beneath the city. Listen to grisly, yet always amusing and insightful, narratives of spectres, torture, hangings, manslaughter, cannibalism, and sorcery. The thrills on this tour originate not from cheap stunts or startling frights, but from proficient storytelling.

Our tour guide “Dr Knox” was brilliant! - The tour was great fun, would definitely recommend. The thing that really made it for us was our tour guide. He was fantastic! Very funny and witty and had the whole group engaged throughout. If you do go on the tour I hope you are lucky enough to get the same guide that we had!!

Paranormal Walking Tour - Would have give. 5 stars if there was more of the underground tunnels. It was difficult to hear the guide in the walking tour in the streets as it was quite busy. The tunnel history was very interesting and the guide very entertaining.

Good family fun - Really fun and informative but not the least bit ‘extreme’ or ‘paranormal’ focused - not the least bit scary. Very uneven under foot and a lot of walking: which may not be right for everyone. Good family fun though.

Terrible. I would never recommend. - Terrible decision on choosing this one. They cancelled the tour without notice and locked the booth. We reached there around 9:10pm, There was another couple as well who was waiting there from 9pm for the 9:15 tour. Even the couple said it has been locked since they were there. They said they’ll refund and then they started being rude. I even emailed saying all this, the company said they’ll refund, but When asked the manager about the progress; he was swearing and using curse words. I lost money about £60 as I booked for 3 tickets for me and my family. I would never recommend for this one, not just because of refund or even rescheduling, but the fact that the guy who was supposed to be providing best customer service was swearing and being the worst. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS ONE FOR ANYONE.
