Highlights
  • Loch Ness - The early stages of the tour will see us wind alongside the world-famous Loch Ness until we reach Urquhart Castle for our first photo stop of the day. Be prepared for stories, scenery and maybe even a cheeky wee sighting of Scotland’s most famous beast!
  • Urquhart Castle - Our first stop of the tour will be on the banks of Loch Ness, overlooking the ruins of Urquhart Castle. Our guide will take you into this great castle’s history. Once one of Scotland’s largest castles, Urquhart saw great conflict during its 500 years as a medieval fortress!
  • Eilean Donan Castle - Our next stop will be at Eilean Donan Castle. Our guide will fill you in on the colourful history of “the most photographed castle in Scotland”. You will have plenty of opportunity to take amazing photographs of this iconic location. Please note we will not have time to go inside and explore around the castle during this tour.
  • Sligachan Old Bridge - Our final stop on the Isle of Skye will take us to an area filled with folklore and natural beauty. Wash your face in the magical water at Sligachan bridge or simply marvel at the imposing Cuillin Mountain Ridge behind. We will also show you some of the best angles for getting an unbelievable photo. (That’s if the misty isle doesn’t live up to its name and swallow the mountains!)
  • Fairy Pools - Our next stop will take us to the world-famous Fairy Pools. These crystal-clear rock pools are fed and connected by a series of waterfalls, originating from the nearby Black Cuillin Mountains. We will allow around 90 minutes to explore the fairy pools. The initial walk is up hill and of moderate intensity, so this part of the trip will not be suitable for those with mobility issues. It will take around 15-20 minutes to walk to the first of the fairy pools from the carpark. There are more pools to explore further up the path.

If you don’t feel that the fairy pool walk is for you, then our driver will take you to an alternative location not far away!

  • Portree - Our next stop will be the quaint village of Portree. Our guide will be happy to talk through several options where you can get a quick bite to eat at a reasonable price if you didn’t go for our lunch option previously. We will aim to spend 35 minutes in Portree before moving on for more experiences and adventure. We will also point out where to get the best views of the colourful harbour and a short walk that will reward you with a stunning panoramic view of the village.
  • The Old Man of Storr - After lunch we will visit one of Skye’s most iconic landmarks- The Old Man of Storr. The “Old Man” is a large pinnacle of rock that can be seen from miles around. We will stop at a great viewpoint and learn about some of the folklore of this impressive rock formation.
  • Kilt Rock - Kilt Rock

As we head up the east coast of Skye, we will stop at the awe-inspiring Kilt Rock and Mealt falls. The magnificent 90 metre cliff resembles a traditional pleated kilt and is home to a spectacular waterfall fed by the nearby Mealt Loch. It really is a sight to behold!
