• Zielony Most - The Green Bridge links the most splendid part of Gdańsk’s historic center with Granaries Island. It extends from the Long Market. Up until the 19th century, it was partly wooden, and likely due to its paint color, it was named the Green Bridge. After being rebuilt as a steel structure, the original color vanished, but the name persisted. The bridge functioned as a drawbridge until the end of World War II.

• Wyspa Spichrzow - Granaries Island, encircled by two branches of the Motława River, stretches almost 2.5 kilometers long and is only 300 meters wide at its broadest point. For centuries, it served Gdańsk’s residents as a storage area for goods. Nearly 360 granaries, primarily for grain but also for wood, resin, ash, and various other materials traded by Gdańsk, were located here.

• Stary żuraw portowy - Crane
  The most formidable of Gdańsk’s water gates, it served both defensive and port crane purposes. After its 15th-century expansion, the Crane was deemed the largest structure of its kind in medieval Europe. The crane mechanism featured two pairs of large walking wheels mounted on shared axes, operated by workers walking inside them. One set of wheels could lift up to two tons using multiple pulley ropes.

• SS Soldek - Sołdek
  Docked at the quay of Ołowianka Island is the s/s “Sołdek,” the first Polish ship constructed post-World War II at the Gdańsk shipyard. Few remember today that it was named after Stanisław Sołdek, a leading worker and stevedore at the Gdańsk Shipyard. Sołdek is the prototype for a series of bulk carriers. The hull features over 300,000 characteristic rivets joining its elements.

• Targ Rybny - Fish Market
  In the 14th century, the Teutonic Knights, who ruled at the time, granted permission to sell fresh fish in the square near the castle walls in Gdańsk, securing the priority of choice and purchase for themselves. Fishermen from Gdańsk, Wisłoujście, and Hel sold their catches here.

• Brabank Apartamenty - BRABANK
  The modern residential complex at the mouth of the Radunia Canal into the Motława River is known as Brabank.

• Polski Hak - Polish Hook
  For centuries, the headland where the Motława River meets the Martwa Wisła has been called the Polish Hook. Raftsmen would set up camps here after weeks of floating grain to Gdańsk. Gdańsk merchants would come to inspect and purchase the grain, and townspeople visited for non-commercial reasons, enjoying the raftsmen’s singing, playing, and dancing around bonfires.

• Stocznia Cesarska - Imperial Shipyard
  In the 19th century, a small corvette repair workshop was established here for the Gdańsk Navigational School’s ship. The workshop expanded to build its own steamers, initially wooden and later iron. Land was acquired, and additional workshops, warehouses, a forge, foundry, and office buildings were constructed. The workshops were renamed the Royal Shipyard, and after Germany’s unification in 1871, it became the Imperial Shipyard.
