We begin our journey in the small town of Sighnaghi, known as the “city of love.” It is one of the oldest and most picturesque cities in Kakheti.
Next, we head to Bodbe to visit the ancient monastery of St. Nino, dating back to the IX-XVIII centuries.
Our journey continues to Gurjaani, renowned for its wineries. Here, we will explore an ancient local wine cellar from the 17th-18th century, where you will have the chance to learn about traditional winemaking, participate in the process, and taste homemade wine. You will also get to make “churchkhela,” a traditional treat made from nuts, almonds, or raisins. During lunch, you can savor unique local cuisine.
After lunch, we will visit the castle of the famous 19th-century Georgian poet, Prince Alexander Chavchavadze, in Tsinandali. Here, you can stroll through the beautiful garden, visit the winery, and taste the local wine.
We will then return to Tbilisi.
