The Thrill of the Ride

As a professional athlete turned travel writer, I’ve experienced my fair share of adrenaline-pumping activities. But when I heard about the Electric Skateboard Tour in General Luna, I knew I had to give it a shot. The idea of cruising through the picturesque Siargao countryside on an electric skateboard, with the wind in my hair and the sun setting on the horizon, was too tempting to resist.

Upon arrival, I was greeted by the friendly team at eSkate Siargao. They provided a quick introduction and geared me up with all the necessary safety equipment. Despite my extensive experience with board sports, I was intrigued by the electric skateboard’s unique hand remote control. It was a new challenge, and I was eager to master it. The professional instructors were patient and knowledgeable, ensuring that even beginners could confidently ride in no time.

Scenic Splendor

Once I got the hang of the controls, we set off on our journey. The first leg of the tour took us across the iconic Catangnan Bridge, offering breathtaking views of Siargao’s lush landscapes and crystal-clear waters. The feeling of gliding effortlessly over the bridge was exhilarating, and I couldn’t help but smile as I took in the stunning scenery.

As we continued along the low-traffic road, the views only got better. The golden hour cast a warm glow over the Siargao countryside, highlighting the vibrant greens of the mangroves and the serene beauty of the river. It was a side of Siargao I hadn’t seen before, and I was grateful for the opportunity to experience it in such a unique way.

Sunset Serenity

Our journey included a stop at a serene location with an infinity pool, where we took a break to recharge and enjoy a complimentary drink. The tranquil atmosphere was the perfect contrast to the adrenaline-fueled ride, allowing us to relax and soak in the beauty of Siargao.

As the sun began to set, we made our way back across the bridge. The sky was ablaze with vibrant colors, creating a magical backdrop for our return journey. It was a moment of pure serenity, and I felt a deep sense of gratitude for the experience.

Returning to the eSkate Siargao shop, I handed in my equipment and bid farewell to the guides. The adventure had come to an end, but the memories of the incredible ride and the stunning Siargao sunset would stay with me forever. I couldn’t wait to share this experience with my fellow adventurers and plan my next visit with friends in tow.
