Perfect pairing with knowledgeable guide - We had a wonderful experience on the Geneva Private Custom Walking Tour! Jurabek was an excellent guide—very knowledgeable and insightful. He not only showed us the key sites but also shared fascinating historical tidbits behind what we were seeing, which we truly appreciated. They paired us perfectly, as we have a strong interest in history.
One thing we forgot to ask was if Jurabek could recommend any places to eat during our stay in Geneva. 😄

Very good experience! - Philippe was an excellent guide. We enjoyed our walking tour and lunch along the lake. Philippe provided good historical context and was a pleasure to spend time with.

Good overview of Geneva - This was a custom private tour. As expected, we did a lot of walking during our 3 hours. Our guide enabled us to see several venues from Old Town to the Jet to the United Nations venue. She escorted us around on the convenient buses and a short boat ride. Without her assistance, we would not have seen as many venues so we were pleased with our experience.

We learned a lot about Geneva. - We learned a lot about the left bank and it’s history. Our guide also showed us some good photo spots.

Local’s perspective on living in Geneva - Philippe was a great guide for us - tailored the walk around places we had not covered yet and shared a very “local’s” perspective on everything Geneva. Our walk was around 3 hours but Philippe took us into a hip bar in the middle for a refreshing ale and a good chat.💬

disappointing private Geneva tour - Our tour was actually quite disappointing. The longer we stay in Geneva, the more we realize how little was covered on this 5 hour tour. We expected a tour of the old town, however Phillip just took us to the Cathedral and then we immediately left the old town without seeing any other parts or hearing anything interesting about its history. We did not see the Armory, the Madeleine Chapel or the Reformation wall, did not hear any stories about the old town.
instead we spent hours walking along the waterfront and in the parks. When I asked about seeing the Broken Chair, Phillip said it is really boring and took us back to the waterfront.
We learned very little about the history Geneva and Switzerland.
When we returned to the hotel, i looked up what one would consider must see spots in Geneva and was disappointed in how little had been covered during the tour.
Today we went on a chocolate tasting tour with another company and the guide took us around the old town, and shared so much information about different buildings and their significance even though it was not the focus of today’s tour. She did not miss an opportunity to tell us something interesting about what we were walking by. Phillip on the other hand missed every opportunity. A good example-we walked by the mausoleum with him, he did not mention anything, whereas today we heard a very interesting story about it. I imagine there were countless other opportunities missed on sites and facts that should have been covered by Phillip yesterday.
i cannot with clear conscience recommend this tour or Phillip as a guide to anyone.

Tour of Geneva - Our guide was a wonderful person, but struggled with English and the history of Geneva so the tour was not worth what we paid. Rather disappointing as this was our first and perhaps last trip to Geneva.
