Highlights

Make your own way to the prearranged location in central Geneva, then hop inside a comfortable coach and set off on a scenic 90-minute drive across the France-Switzerland border. Pass through the stunning Arve Valley before arriving at Chamonix, a famous Alpine village that sits in the shadow of Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in the European Alps.

If you’ve opted for a full-day ski pass, strap on your provided boots and skis, and venture out onto the slopes. Your pass will be for the Brevént or Grands Montets ski areas, both located within the Chamonix Valley. Whether you are a novice or a competent skier, you’ll be able to find a run to suit your skill level. Experience the thrill of zooming down the slopes, surrounded by gigantic mountain peaks and valleys, which act as a reminder of nature’s power.

If you’ve elected for the half-day ski pass, begin your day with a ride on the Aiguille du Midi cable car. The 20-minute ride will take you to the top of this rocky peak. At the summit, you’ll be rewarded with fabulous views of Mont Blanc, the Chamonix Valley and the many peaks of the French, Swiss and Italian Alps. Grab a hot chocolate in the cafe or watch skiers flying down the slopes below.

Descend back down to Chamonix, then get kitted out for an afternoon of skiing. Use your half-day ski pass to access the slopes of the Brevént or Grands Montets ski areas. Experience the exhilaration of cruising down immaculate pistes while practicing your skiing skills.

In the early evening, depart from Chamonix and return to the original start point in Geneva, where your experience concludes.

Our guide explained... - Our guide explained everything to us. My niece and I skied the day surrounded by the most beautiful mountains ever. After skiing, we enjoyed some crepes, in the cute town of Chamonix! Absolutely loved the experience from this excursion.

Fantastic Day Trip! - This is a great choice if you're looking for a day trip into Chamonix! Bus ride - easy to get to, informative and organized! The guide spoke many languages Cable Car Ride - a must! You go early enough to bypass all the lines(tickets are handed out during the bus trip to France) Skiing - if you plan accordingly and manage your timing, you should have enough time to grab your rentals and ski for about 1.5hrs When you're done with the cable car and skiing, you have enough time to walk around the cute and quaint Chamonix town and check out the shops - so much to do and see! At around 5:30pm the bus departs and you head back to Geneva.

I enjoyed it very much. The mountain... -
I enjoyed it very much. The mountain view was extraordinary going up the cable car is a must! - you want to make sure you spend good time on it and snowboarding experience was definitely worth it. The 1 less star stands for the amount of time I had for snowboarding.
With how it is scheduled, I could only snowboard for a short time... maybe 1.5 hr...? As mentioned, you do not want to and you can't just rush up on a cable car and come back down quickly. However it was 1.5 hr, the experience itself was great. Good range of courses in intermediate and advanced level, not crowded so you do not have to wait in a long line to get on a chair lift, etc. The view you get while you ski/snowboard is absolutely stunning.
If ski/snowboard is the thing you want to do there, I suggest you to book an overnight trip to Chamonix, but this trip is great for someone who wants to do something a little different, wants to include sports activity, but has limited time.
Overall, it was a highly satisfying trip.

Weather was very poor and trip should have been rescheduled - The guide indicated that the weather was not good at Chamonix that day but he didn't explain how badly it would affect our experience. He and his company, Key Tours, knew the conditions based on the weather report, the Chamonix ski resort website information, and his own experience skiing the slopes and the company's experience leading tours. We should have been given the opportunity for a refund or to book on another day. Our skiers were completely drenched with rain after 1 hour on the slopes. We were taken up a cable car with windows completely covered with wet snow and fog - couldn't see a thing. We were brought home at 12:30 (we paid for a full day tour). I contacted Viatour for a refund, and Key Tours only refunded 1/2 the cost. In my opinion they wasted our money and time by not offering to reschedule the trip. Very disppointed.

The guide was very nice and scenery... -
The guide was very nice and scenery was beautiful. But I purchased the 1/2 day ski trip with the Midi Cable car ride but was only able to ski. The guide told me it would be better to just ski because the shop where we get the gear closes from 12-3pm. I just feel like it was a very expensive ski trip, for that I could have taken a shuttle over and bought the entrance myself. I also wonder what beautiful views I missed out on by not taking the cable car ride

Slightly disappointed in this trip... -
Slightly disappointed in this trip. Parking at the station was difficult and the bus would not wait for us even though it waited for those who were taken off of the bus when entering France. When we arrived at the mountain we were told that the tickets would work anywhere, that we found to be untrue as we waited for over 30 minutes for the tram only to be told that the tickets that did not work. All in all an ok day. The equipment was not great and the fact that there were no helmets to rent was really disappointing.

Keytours ... Can they be trusted ? NO - £302 for 2 persons, I thought every penny will worth my Full Day Trip. On arrival at 10 am, we were told that Aiguille de Midi Cable car will be delayed to 11 am. Then we were told its not going before 13 00. During which, Brevent is proposed as an option which is around 1000 m less compared to what was paid for. At 1300, we were informed the Cable Car is not going for the day. Then, the Red train to Montenvers... Mer de Glace.. Ice cave is closed. Keytours do provide you with an Unlimited Day Pass.. when they know the activities are not in service. Surely, NON REFUNDABLE. Keytours in this business for many years.. they know which service is on or off. I paid for Aiguille de Midi.. NOT Brevent. Behind the cute smile of the Guide Neil, hides a hypocrite well trained staff. To end, I will suggest NOT to book with these people, better pay few more quids, go there on the spot and do your activities folks.

Worst in organized experience - Key tours are absolute thieves , they will drop you in town give you brief information and if you don’t know your way around you won’t find anyone to support over and above that if you for any reason did not ride on the cable car they will not refund you , they will claim that you used the pass in different activities even if you didn’t and without any proof , Avoid Avoid Avoid !!!! If you don’t k ow your way around Chamonix or haven’t been there before , if you do know your way , consider them as a bus ride that’s all , THIEVES
