Highlights
  • Cattedrale di San Lorenzo - Duomo di Genova - The biggest medieval town in Europe, Genoa maintains the charm of the ancient maritime republic. A professional guide will show you the heart of the city on an inspiring walking tour.

One of Italys hidden gems - Most amazing and beautiful experience I’ve had in Italy. The local guid explained the history behind everything then gave the group time to split up and individually experience the culture and sights. I would highly recommend this trip, it’s unbelievably affordable for everything packed into the days itinerary.

Genoa - Wished we could have stayed more than 1 day! Such a nice town. We were on a cruise and only had 1 day to get around and see the many things.

Adventure - Good value, competent guides, well managed on time. No fault of tour, personally disappointed in commercialism of Portofino. Big outdoor shopping Mall alrho Pucci had the best designs

A nice day in Genoa and Portofino - The tour was very informative. We got to walk around Genoa and learn all about its history. We then took a bus ride to St Margharita Ligure and had some lunch there and got to explore the beautiful beachside town. In total we had about 2 hours of free time here. Then, from there, we took a ferry to Portofino. Portofino is incredible but the only thing I would say is that I wish we got more free time in Portofino. We only had about 1.15minutes. I think 2 hours would have been nice. Otherwise, it is a great tour.

Not very happy - We left Genoa 30 minutes late. We waited for a bus coming from Milan with other tourists, after which we went to explore Genoa by bus but also walking . I really liked the guide who introduced Genoa. After Genoa there was a bus ride to Santa Margherita, the guide who came from Milan remained to introduce, her English was not very good and she didn't seem to know everything she was trying to describe, at the stop in Santa Margherita she explained to us in bus the instructions for what was going to happen in the next few hours. It was raining outside, clearly we had to go out with the child and sit in the torrential rain because she wanted to explain everything again. This really annoyed me, it seemed to me that she behaved very rude , not everyone had an umbrella like her. This totally disappointed me.

Ok - This tour was great as far as destinations, but it was so busy when we arrived by boat, we lost our tour guide who was supposed to meet us there. It was close to 45 minutes before we found him.

Portofino is the ghastliest town in the Cinque-Terre. - Totally overflowing, millions of ice-eating full-posts, raunchy, overpriced restaurants. We tormented our way through the access streets, paid 8 (in words eight) euros per hour for a crowded parking garage, pushed through bulging alleys, and then found out in front of the museum entrance: CLOSED. The harbour master then explained to us that the shop has been closed for a year. None of this on the Museo's website. Opening hours reportedly 9-12 and 15-18. This is so annoying even in view of this impossible tourist city. Just because this Hollywood beau is going down there doesn't mean you have to go.
