Highlights
- Genoa - Departure at 9 am from Genoa cruise terminal
- Santa Margherita Ligure - Arrival at the harbor of Santa Margherita at about 9:45 am, from where, in about 20 minutes, you can reach Portofino by boat
- Portofino - Visit of Portofino and return by boat to Santa Margherita at 12:30, tour of the village of Santa Margherita and lunch in a typical trattoria.
- Camogli - After lunch, through the pass of La Ruta, overlooking the Mount of Portofino, we reach Camogli by car, visit of the picturesque old town and at around 3:30 pm we return back to Genoa along the coastal road, with a stop to the center before to back on board.

Additional Information
We will be leaving the cruise terminal in Genoa at 9 am and it will take us about 45 minutes to arrive at the Santa Margherita harbor. From there, a 20-minute boat ride will take us to Portofino where we’ll have a visit and then return by boat to Santa Margherita at 12:30 for a village tour and lunch at a local trattoria. Post lunch, we’ll travel via the La Ruta pass with views of Mount Portofino, to Camogli where we will explore the charming old town. We’ll hit the road back to Genoa around 3:30 pm along the picturesque coastal route, with one last stop in the city centre before getting back on board.
Please note, while your driver can provide commentary during the drive, they aren’t permitted to offer explanations outside the vehicle. If you’d need a guide to walk you around or provide detailed commentary, private tour guides can be arranged at an extra expense.
Your driver will also be more than happy to provide suggestions for the best dining spots during the day.

Fun Day! - This was a great tour. Jani, our tour guide, was amazing - very knowledgeable and friendly. The fresh focaccia he had waiting for us on pickup was a wonderful treat. Genoa, Portofino, Santa Margherita and Camogli were beautiful. We saw so much of the area and learned so much from our guide. We were traveling as a group of 5 - me, my husband, two teenagers and my mom. I would recommend this tour.

A taste of Liguria - Alex was my driver and guide for an amazing day! Alex tailored the day by giving me a true introduction to Liguria. We stopped at a few small towns on the coast and visited Portofino. But the highlight was Camogli and lunch in Recco at Da O Vittorio. The fish soup was spectacular!!! A PERFECT DAY!

The Only Way To See Portofino - Gabriel was our driver - intelligent, personable and sensitive to our needs on a very hot day! He was adaptable to whatever we needed and drove safely and professionally. We enjoyed seeing Santa Margherita, Portofino, and Camogli in a comfortable way. Will recommend. Thank you

Highly recommend - Francesco was very professional and had a nice day planned for us. Even though we had a language barrier we were able to communicate using our translation app which we all enjoyed. He helped us learn a little more Italian . I was with my daughter and daughter in law who love to take photos. Not only was he patient with them but he found a perfect places to take pictures. His suggestions on restaurants were also very lovely. Each place he took us to was more beautiful than the next. I would highly recommend this to tour and I Francesco as your guide.

Good tour & easy to find driver in cruise terminal - Driver was good but did not give us any info on history etc. Took us to the 3 main tourist towns which were beautiful. Much easier and cheaper than tour from cruise ship. Was easy to find driver when we got off ship.

Not what was promised - This was a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! The ferries were not running which was our reason for booking. Driver changed the order of the itinerary driving through Santa Margarita to Portofino. By the time we returned to Santa Margarita the shops were closed and he said yes, winter hours. Also requested a sedan and got a minibus. Last year we travelled in Austria, Germany and Spain using Viator with great success. This was a very expensive tour and did not come close to what we expected!

No show - Unfortunately the tour guide failed to show up at the agreed time which had been reconfirmed in the previous 24 hours. After making multiple calls I was informed that the driver/guide was on another trip and would not show up for another 90 minutes.
The company showed very little empathy or remorse to the situation where a multigenerational family including an 84 year old were left waiting in n the summer heat.

Only a driver - This was not a “tour”- this was a driver that spoke very few words- not even the slightest cordial comment on where we were visiting- very disappointed
