During this tour, we unveil Penang and Malaysia’s history and finally end our food trail at a bar with a locally inspired cocktail or mocktail.

- There’s nothing worse than spilling food on a white t-shirt. If you don’t mind the stain, you can always wear white.

More Than Just a Food Tour - We had a spectacular time. In addition to great food we got a historical and cultural tour of Penang’s UNESCO Heritage Area. So much so that we canceled our UNESCO tour that we had scheduled for the following day.
The food and drink that we sampled was all delicious. We couldn’t eat it all!
I highly, highly recommend this tour!

Wonderful experience - We had a wonderful tour with Wei Shen who was very knowledgeable on local cuisine as well as the history of Penang and surrounding areas. A must do experience when visiting Georgetown.

A must do… - Oh my goodness we ate! So much food - and all of it good. The best though was the stories and information that went with it. This is my 2nd time on a Simply Enak tour, yet it all felt new and interesting. Thanks Gary… I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tour to visitors to Georgetown.

A wonderful first day on a food tour with Wei Shen! - Brilliant walking and food tour with Wei Shen. He is not only a great guide to the intricate details of Penang history but also great company. The food places he took us to were fabulous! Lastly a cocktail at a bar led to great conversation. Thanks to Wei Shen for making our first day a very memorable one.

Amazing food experience in Penang with Wei Shen - Simply Enak is a great tour company to experience customized food tours in Penang. Our young guide Wei Shen was a very enthusiastic and friendly person to explore the city with. He passionately showed us around and made us try a rich variety of food. We ended up becoming good friends as the tour finished! Would definitely recommend it!

Relaxing, informative and generous tour. - Wei Shen took us a wonderfully informative and delicious private food tour of beautiful George Town. It was incredibly relaxing strolling the streets learning about cultural sights and culinary dishes along the way. We left enlightened and with our bellies full! Thank you.

An amazing food adventure! - What a wonderful experience! Our guide was Wei Shen and he was amazing. He showed us several local spots with amazing food all while taking us through Georgetown. We got to try 4 different food stops and got to see
street art and must see landmarks of Georgetown. Come with an open mind and be ready to eat! This tour was also flexible with our last minute request and I am so grateful for it. They are also quick to respond to messages. Thank you for making our last day in Penang memorable! We can’t wait to go back.

Medical trip - I loved the hot weather combined with the swimming pool water.
I was there for medical purposes not much sightseeing or food tasting or exploring. But still manage to enjoy Penang

Tasty and interesting! - Really enjoyable food tour. I think we tried approx 13 types of food and 1 cocktail, with a few juices along the way. All very tasty. We learnt about the food but also Penang and daily living in general. Also saw some street art. Wei Shen was a great tour guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. My husband is a massive foodie and loved it. Would recommend this tour.
