Blue Mansion - The tour was very interesting and we learned a lot about the history of the historic house and the family behind it. We had a drink n the bar afterwards, which has a classic setting. The bartender, Ali, was amazing. A great experience all around.

Beautiful and historical mansion - I truly enjoyed the guided tour which has given me a very good background of the original owner, his family and also the meaning behind the mansion. The tour guide was funny and also very knowledgable. After the tour, I spent some time at the bar at the mansion and had a drink. The bartender, Ali, was very helpful. Though the bar was full of customers, he still managed to remember what we have ordered! We also had a brief chat and I learned more about the mansion from him. Highly recommend joining the tour and visiting! Next time, I would love to stay at the heritage mansion as well!

So beautify, interesting and KUDOS to a super entertaining guide! - This place was beautiful and I was very happy to learn about the history and the fact that the owner, Mr. Laurence Lo, bought the place with the I tensions to restore it under UNESCO’s specifications- made it even better! I had no clue going there there were so many movies filmed there too, The guide was funny and engaging - great sense of humor! Thank you

Beautiful mansion, full of history, wordy guide - Stayed at the hotel for a couple of days which includes the tour. The house itself is very historical and full of interesting stories. If you are aware much of east Asia histories in the past 100 years, this is a fun place to visit. The tour guide took way too much time telling bad jokes, should have just focused on history and culture

very good - We had a fantastic tour here. The tour guide was amazing and it was very interesting. Without the tour it is not half as good as the story is essential.

Difficult to hear/understand - The guide had such a strong accent she was difficult to understand. My husband is hard of hearing and he couldn’t hear/understand anything. The tour is not of the mansion it is only of the hall and courtyard. We walked round while guide told stories about ‘big boss’ and read off posters on the wall. The information about the life of the guy who lived there and of the mansion itself very limited. More about the restoration.

A useless, stereotyped tour. - Ticket fees are very unworthy of a visit. The place is divided by the hotel and many places are off limits. The whole presentation and tour is geared towards white people and their stereotypes. The whole introduction to Zhang floats on the surface and implies admiration for Western culture. There was a better way for Zhang to introduce Zhang's life value, and the introduction of the place was nothing. It's a shame that one of the richest men in the late Qing Dynasty, who was important to the Chinese, should have ended up here.
