Taman Negara National Park - Taman Negara is a 130-million-year-old tropical rainforest, home to tigers, elephants, tapirs, pythons, 14,000 flowering plants, 300 bird species, and indigenous communities. Depart the Camerons at 7am for Taman Negara and trek to Bukit Terisek for a breathtaking view of Gunung Tahan. Take a boat ride through rushing waters to reach an indigenous village. The women are shy, and the men “disappear” only to return with fire-making and blowpipe hunting demonstrations. The rainforest serves as their supermarket. Continue trekking to a rainforest waterfall for a refreshing dip, known for its stress-relieving properties. Enjoy a complimentary local lunch at the Floating Café. Check in and relax.
