7 Curries putting you in 7th Heaven - a fab way to experience Georgetown - Hands down amazing experience start to finish. You learn so much all while having fun and seeing Guyanese history in new ways. Eon and Jessica have put so much thought and care into the planning, the stops on the tour and the meal - they are the best! Plus - the curries you make together are just heavenly!! The cooking kitchen is also quite an oasis.

Amazing experience - One of the best things we did in Guyana. Eon and Jessica were excellent hosts and very knowledgeable. We learned about Guyanese history and culture and the food Eon helped us prepare was the best meal we had during our visit. Topped off with some amazing singing. Highly recommend!

Authentic taste of Georgetown culture! - We went on this tour with Jessica and Eon and we are so glad we did. It was our first time in Guyana and their information and local knowledge was invaluable! We learned so much about Georgetown’s history and culture and Eon and Jessica were thoughtful, kind, professional and caring all the way through. The food was phenomenal! They took us to Tony’s Puri Shop and the filled Puri was sooo delicious, unlike any other we’ve had before. We went to the market to get the ingredients needed for the famous 7-curry and went back to Eon and Jessica’s beautiful house where they have a shack in the garden and Eon cooked, while also guiding us with helping and teaching us the process. The outcome was a beautiful curry with rice and other curry and veg dishes, all served on lotus leaves we picked earlier and with a Puri of course! And then Eon sang some of his fantastic songs to us while we ate. In short this is an authentic dive into Georgetown’s culture, hosted by two beautiful souls that live there! Would wholeheartedly recommend! Thank you both so much, big love, Joel & Emilio.

If you come to Guyana, you have to do this tour - This was by far the highlight of our Guyana trip. Eon and Jessica were so easy to arrange a tour with, and they communicated so well with us our hotel - where they picked us up. We got a tour of Georgetown, we went to a beautiful fruit market where we didn’t have to worry about petty crime. We tried fresh coconut water, and a variety of fruits that the USA doesn’t grow. Then we went to the puri house and had the best bread and juice. We went to pick water lily pads, before returning to the kitchen where we cooked our delicious meal…I really mean it, this was the best food I’ve had in a lonnnggg time. I can’t wait to cook it when I’m home !!!! Please please do this tour!

Fun, tasty, informative. DO IT! - Absolutely incredible experience! Honestly one of the best tours I've taken in all my travels. It combined history of Guyana, fresh foods, shopping like a local, hospitality of a home, dinner with friends, and an actual singer as a chef! The food was delicious, the company was outstanding, and the overall experience was smashing. I'd highly recommend to anyone visiting Georgetown. Jessica and Eon are truly remarkable and wonderful people.

This tour is a must! - This was by far the best thing we did in Guyana. Initially, we planned very little time to stay in Georgetown, however, our plans for the jungle all fell through at the last minute and we had to scramble to find things to do. Communication was very good prior to the tour, and it was easy to message on Whatsapp, and a big thank you to Jess and Eon for taking us last minute! The tour started with a bit of history, a trip to the market, a "snack", and quick trip to the botanic garden before the cooking started. Had such a lovely time, learned a lot about Guyana, and had fun cooking! We were absolutely stuffed by the end- there is so much food. Do not miss this tour, even if you just have a day in Guyana!

The best day activity in Georgetown - Jess and Eon made for the absolutely perfect day. Our time together was more than a cooking lesson; it was a tour through parts of Georgetown we wouldn’t otherwise go, an opportunity to learn about the people of Guyana, and a chance to make new friends. Jess and Eon are reliable, generous, welcoming, flexible, and patient. This is one of the best day tours we’ve ever booked on Viator.
