Deutsche Oper Berlin - The opera was commissioned by Frederic II and is the oldest opera building in the world. It was recently renovated.
The Holocaust Memorial - Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe - This monument built by Peter Eisenman commemorates the millions of Jews murdered by the Nazis.
You will visit two museums on Museum Island. There will also be a tour of the Reichstag with a visit to the glass dome.
Reichstag Building - You will pass security (bring ID!) and take the elevator to the roof where you can enjoy a breathtaking view over the city, as well as climb up on the glass dome. On the way out you will peek into the German Parliament.
Museum Island - You will see the Neues Museum which is a most amazing building and visit Nefertiti, the most beautiful woman ever (so some peole say). Also visit the Pergamon with the Ishtar Gate and the Gate of Milet.
Travel to Potsdam to see Cecilienhof (site of Potsdam Conference in 1945) and the famous park of Sanssouci.
Olympiastadion Berlin - The stadium was built for the 1936 Olympic Games. This is where Jessey Owen won all his gold medals. Take a picture of the famous five rings.
House of the Wannsee Conference - This is where the infamous conference took place in January 1942 where the Nazis decided on the fate of Europe’s Jews.
Schloss Cecilienhof - This is where Stalin, Roosevelt and Churchill (Attlee) met in 1945 to divide Germany in different sectors. Visit the museum with audio-guides.
Sanssouci Park - This is just one of the many parks in Potsdam recognized by the Unesco as a World Heritage Site. From the fountain you will get the opportunity to take a picture of the lovely Palace. Also visit the grave of Frederic II who lies next to his beloved dogs.
Potsdam - Potsdam’s Old town consists of several hundred houses all built in the 1740s making this an icon of a baroque town.
The group will travel by bus to Tropical Islands, Europe’s largest water park
Tropical Islands - This will be the highlight of the trip for the kids! The world’s largest water park in a former airship-hangar has pools, warm weather, outside pools, slides, and many more activities.
Today the group will travel to the Spreewald
Luebbenau - Luebbenau is located in the middle of the Spreewald, home to Germany’s only ethnic minority, a Slavic tribe that has lived here for many centuries and held on to its own language. The forest appears like a jungle and you can either cajak through the many romantic canals, or do a trip with a gondola to enjoy this enchanted forest.
The group will travel to Dresden where they will spend 2 nights
Dresden - You will do a walking tour to see the highlights of this beautiful baroque town: Frauenkirche, Zwinger, Train of Princes, Brühlsche Terrace, Old Town.
On your second day in Dresden, you will visit a museum and then travel up the river Elbe with a steam boat.
Schloss & Park Pillnitz - Schloss Pillnitz will be reached by steam boat, one of the oldest steam boat fleets in the world. The kids, in the meantime, may do a mountain bike tour and meet up with the families later in Pillnitz.
Green Vault - This is one of Germany’s most astounding museums. The Saxon King collected thousands of little precious oddities and jewels. The museum was all over the news recently because robbers managed to break in and steal some of the pieces on exhibit.
On your way to Munich, you will stop in Nürnberg for a city tour.
Nuremberg - This medieval town has an amazing castle to visit, some very old houses, as well as the home of Albrecht Dürer.
On your first day in Munich, enjoy a city walk to see the higlights.
Munich - See Marienplatz, Frauenkirche, the Hofbräuhaus, and the Feldherrenhalle, where Hitler tried to overthrow the government only to be thrown into jail for a few years. You will also have a chance to visit Viktualienmarkt, the quintessential farmer’s market, and a typical biergarten.
You will go on an excursion to Neuschwanstein, Ludwig II’s dream castle
Schloss Neuschwanstein - This castle is known the world over because Walt Disney modeled his castle after it. You will get a chance to take stunning pictures of it, as well as go on an English-language tour inside. There is a steep climb to reach the castle!
Oberammergau - Before returning to Munich, you will visit Oberammergau, a lovely town in the mountains, or, alternatively, visit Cloister Ettal.
On your last day, you will have time to enjoy Munich one last time, and get ready to pack
Munich - You may want to visit a museum, do some last minute shopping or get ready for your flight back. We would be happy to help you make arrangements, should you wish to stay on for longer.

This tour is for families with kids age 10-15. There is a maximum of 24 people in your group, and a minimum of 8. You will see Berlin, Dresden, Nürnberg and Munich: touristic highlights, but also lots of activities for the kids! There will be two guides so that the group can easily split in two at any moment. Kids may not be so interested in “culture”…

Kids may not be so interested in “culture” but they can go kajaking in the Spreewald, spend time in the largest water park in the world: Tropical Island, go climbing, and biking. Please note that you will receive an additional bill for the hotel stay, depending on how many rooms you would like! We will pick 4-star hotels with pools, where possible.
