GETTYSBURG BATTLEFIELD AT A CLOSE-UP. - We were extremely pleased with our tour guide Tom. We met at the Heritage Center on time and we proceeded to the Gettysburg battlefield for a 3 hour tour. Tom could not have been a better guide, he knew his history and related it us in a cohesive manner. Would definitely recommend this tour. Tom even drove our car, so that we would not be distracted.

History Comes Alive - Excellent history lesson. Very clean and well kept. 3D additions were excellent. The cellar experience was eye opening to what civilians were experiencing. A must see when visiting.

Our 3-hour Guide was the perfect part of our trip! - The three members of my family enjoyed every minute of our Guide as he navigated key sites around Gettysburg, from the days prior to the battle, the three-day battle, and the days after. He was vastly knowledgeable and answered every question we posed with deep context surround his answer. I... all three of us highly recommend booking a Guide!

Guided tour - We did the 3 hour battlefield tour with our guide Jim Connery. Jim was an excellent guide, he was friendly and knowledgeable and included the kids as much as possible. They enjoyed the things Jim taught them, such as how to tell which cannons were real and which were replicas. At the last stop on the tour, Jim gave each of the boys a bullet. They really thought that was cool and was definitely a highlight for them. We saw a lot of things and the time went so fast! We would definitely do another battlefield tour if we return to the area. The museum had alot of interesting things like the 3D pics. They did warn us about the cellar experience being loud but we ignored it and the kids got a bit scared. Oops. Gift shop had lots of books and souvenirs. Prices were reasonable.

I Highly Recommend The Gettysburg Heritage Center! - I stopped in on July 2, 2024 to check out the museum/film before my three hour guided battlefield tour. I cannot recommend BOTH of those options enough! The Gettysburg Heritage Center is awesome! We really enjoyed the exhibits and the cellar experience. As well as the film/animated map. They have done a GREAT job putting everything together. But I cannot express how valuable the guided tour is! Honestly worth every penny! Nothing can replace the knowledge of a Licensed Battlefield Guide! I highly recommend The Heritage Center! (they have some great stuff in the gift shop too!)

Not to be missed - This museum is a must see for anyone who toured the battlefield. The short film shown illustrated the battle tactics so clear. The exhibits were great, the Basement Experience being the best.

Very pleasant and thought provoking experience. The displays were very realistic - The Heritage center is the real deal if you want to know what it was like for the families and towns people who lived through the battle in their town. Fascinating story.

Great experience! - The exhibits and the movie were excellent. We also enjoyed the 3-D movie clips. The gift shop also had some good quality and unique things.

Interesting Experience - This museum focuses on the civilian experience in the town of Gettysburg. We especially enjoyed the basement experience. Our 12 year old Granddaughter really got a feel for what it was like during the battle for the people of the town.

Buyer beware of cancellation - Beware!!! DONT TAP cancel button. There is no confirmation option it’s automatic and updates overnight. On July 4th, 2024, I went in to the system pulled up my account to see if I could cancel My ticket order without losing my money (we encountered car trouble and needed to Get a repair done). There was a cancel button which I tapped expecting it to take me to a screen to cancel as there were other navigation buttons there too. The cancel button navigated to a screen and simply showed the tickets. Nothing indicating they were cancelled. I exited still nothing showing they werecancelled.Nothing asking you to confirm cancellation request. I Went out of system. Signed back in, still showed tickets as active, nothing showing cancelled or pending cancellation. It was not until the next morning I received an email saying my tickets were cancelled so buyer beware, the cancel button is not a navigation option but, it IS THE CANCELLATION action, there is no confirm cancellation option with this business. In today’s age when they ask double and triple confirmation of basically all computerized orders of any type, it was upsetting to find there was no confirmation of action. I lost my money and my tickets by simply trying to find out if I was within the cancellation window of no refund. If it had shown that, I would not have cancelled. Admittedly I suspicioned I was but thought I’d at least check. Sadly 🥲🥲there is no checking. Next time if I find interest in a place I’ll use other option for purpose or wait in the line to purchase at the place. The site 🔥 my money, tickets gone, zippo.
