Wonderful walk on a cool, cloudy day - My parents (70s) and I (50-ish) enjoyed our tour with John McTague; he was personable, knowledgeable, and had little tidbits of history we wouldn't have known otherwise. None of us had explored town prior to this walk, only having visited the battlefield and preferred to tour with a licensed guide with knowledge of the area. Plenty of time to stop, ask questions, take photos, share observations. All 3 of us look forward to returning to Gettysburg for another tour with John (Lincoln for the next tour!). We strongly recommend this company for anyone looking for an easy walk learning the history of Gettysburg.

Walking tour - Brenda was our guide for this tour. It just so happened, our family got a private tour. Brenda was professional, courteous and very knowledgeable. We walked through the town and learned new information as well as refreshed our previous knowledge. Thank you Brenda!

walking tour of Gettysburg - Getting the full picture of the battle from tje towns perspective. Can you imaging 100,000 soldiers coming into town with wounded and dying. Horses pulling cannons. North entreaties and shooting at the south pursuers. The confederates came from the north and occupied the town for two days.

Very good Civil War information learned - Enjoyed Terry's thorough knowledge of Gettysburg and all his trivia. It rained a good deal of the tour but he/we were prepared with our rain coats and still were able to walk the town and learn about various buildings, etc... The picture on the website that looks like a Civil War reenactment is misleading. There is none of that here.

Highly interesting and very fun! - The guide was extremely knowledgeable and it was a great introduction to the battle of Gettysburg as it applied to the towns people especially. It was my first visit and it really oriented me to the area and sequence of events. Well worth it!

Best tour ever! Don’t miss it! - My husband and I were lucky enough to take a tour with Bill Hartman on July 1, 2024, he truly went above and beyond to share his knowledge and enthusiasm for Gettysburg history with us. I picked this tour because the docents are trained and licensed so you aren’t getting some college kid or a silly ghost tour. I hope that when we return we can take another tour with a person as knowledgeable as he is! I cannot recommend him enough! thank you Bill!
