A Fantastic 8 Days in Senegal! - We went on an 8-day private tour of Senegal and every day there was some wonderful surprise. Our tour guide, Ali, took very good care of us and was available 24/7. Abdul, our driver, is an excellent driver. High points were Goree Island, the markets, especially a lamb market that we happened to pass, and the fish markets, the carriage ride in Saint Louis to a very different part of town from where our hotel was, Djoudj National Park , another bird watching boat ride, and the lion walk—don’t miss that!

Great destination -- Ghana! - Our 10 day tour of Ghana was put together by Ashanti for 4 of us --- We could not be happier --Foster out birding guide was superb! We saw and heard so many new species of birds and mammals. Our driver Frank was wonderful. Both gentlemen took care of us and showed us so many amazing culture sites and the natural beauty of a fantastic birding destination ---Ghana!! Thank you to Ashanti.

A wonderful nature trip - Excellent hardly covers it. From the moment I made an enquiry to the end of the trip Ashanti African tours were exemplary. The office support was very reassuring and helpful. Then, from the moment I was met at the airport in Accra to the moment I was dropped back there I was looked after perfectly. Both guides were excellent - and it is wonderful to have your guide jump with personal joy at some of the sightings. I had specifically requested a pangolin, after 30 years and many safaris in other places. We saw two. With an attitude of can do - and will go on trying. It was a massive bonus that Andrew knows butterflies as well as he does. Even when the birds were being shy, the butterflies entertained us. Unbelievable. Both guides were solicitous - and at Ankasa Richard, the driver there, went out of his way to help me get in and out of the rather high vehicle - thank you Richard. Both Andrew and Jackson were also informative about customs, traditions and family life which was very interesting. Oh. And if you are going solo: yup, that was OK. If you are looking for somewhere to go: try Ghana.
