Amazing - This was amazing and well worth the money. Very educational yet fun, didn’t expect to try as many drinks and chocolates as we did but there were loads!! making your own chocolate bar , own hot chocolate , then trying another 4 or so drinks on top of that , while also having lots of chocolate drops and bon bons , would definitely recommend

Educational , interactive and fun chocolate experience - I am a high school teacher, and our school organized a European culture trip with a group of students. We were doubting between visiting a chocolate museum or doing this chocolate history workshop, we are so happy we chose this one! First, it is quite interactive: almost all of the students were really into it, which is exceptional for a tired group of teenagers. We also learned a lot about chocolate in a short time span and everything was of course amazingly delicious. We had a fun educational time here, which both the students & the teachers won’t forget.

Ghent's Hidden Chocolate Gem - I was a bit doubting beforehand to book this activity as my friend and I are not really into history. However, this is the first time I really enjoyed learning about history. Super interactive and interesting! You basically get to experience 5000 years of history in a bit more than 1 hour. From old chocolate drinks to modern day Belgian chocolate. We even got to try a historical recipe, really fascinating. This is definitely NOT BORING history. The owner is heartwarming and adorable, you can simply tell this is her passion. Next time I am in Ghent, I will visit the shop again to try some other activities.

was a lovely experience, with nice, exquisite and chic staffs. - We booked this activity because we wanted to learn more about Belgian chocolate. We had already visited a chocolate museum and didn’t feel like another one. We sort of regret not doing this tasting first, before visiting the museum. The chocolate museum was great, definitely a fun experience, but I was really missing some context. After leaving I still didn’t get why Belgium became a chocolate country. During this workshop we got to understand the evolution of chocolate. I thought it was fascinating to see that people used to only drink chocolate and only recently in history they started eating it. I would personally recommend doing both a museum and this workshop, but if you don’t have much time and you really want to understand what Belgian chocolate is about, just do the workshop.

Super fun workshop. - We had a great afternoon. Besides learning about chocolate, we got to taste many different things and made chocolate ourselves. Nice and warmly received. We thought this was definitely worth our money.

Fun informative hands on experience that worked on all levels - Informative, fun and interactive way of learning and tasting the history of chocolate. Dorien has a natural, personable style and her passion for the topic really shone through. The chocolate was awesome too! Our favourites are the Jaguar passion fruit, dolphin praline and Ecuadorean buttons. Sarah Rob and Evie

Great on rainy day - We did this workshop on a super rainy Tuesday. Apparently, the other couple that booked that day, had cancelled because they couldn’t make it. So, the workshop suddenly became private for us. This was the highlight of our trip!!!  Dorien & Liu are super nice people who really know their chocolate & you can just see they are foodies, they even gave us some great recommendations for food places in Ghent. We regret not buying the seashells that day, we returned on Wednesday but apparently, it’s their closing day. Anyhow, book this workshop, especially on a rainy day, you won’t regret!
