Additional Information

Look out over the crater lake of the active Mount Batur volcano. Many of our guests say it offers the most breathtaking view in Bali. We primarily travel along small village roads, mostly downhill. You’ll experience the beautiful Balinese rural landscape as it should be—without the crowds of other tourists. Our goal is to show you a Bali that most tourists can only dream of: untouched by mass tourism. We make several stops along the way, including visits to a large temple and a traditional Balinese home. We also pause at lush rice paddies, providing ample photo opportunities, especially during a short walk through a rice field where, if we’re lucky, we might see farmers harvesting rice.

Our groups are kept small, typically 4 to 6 people, unless a larger group is requested. We have a senior guide leading the way and a secondary guide at the rear, unlike other tours. Additionally, a car follows us down the mountain in case anyone feels unwell.

  • If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of traffic, we suggest you to stay in Ubud because the distance to each destination is not far

What's a day in Ubud - Amazing day in Ubud. We really enjoyed the beauty of the hidden villages in Ubud and we learned a lot about Balinese culture. And the team is very friendly, the bikes are in good condition. Of course, I highly recommend this to everyone who wants to enjoy the beautiful countryside away from the hustle and bustle of the town.

A MUST-TRY experience in Bali - It was such a lovely day away from the hustle and bustle of the central Ubud. Our path wound through local villages and rice fields, a very nice way to see both the natural and cultural side of Bali. Most paths are downhill and effortless, even my 9-year-old made the journey of 25 km. There are three stops on the way, the terrace to see Batur Mountain, plantation of coco beans and coffee beans, and a local family. All visits are worthwhile and interesting. The most valuable part of the trip is our guide. He is passionate about culture and history and could answer all our questions with aboudant details. Definitely a MUST-try experience in Bali!

The sights along the way were well chosen and there were some breathtaking views. We would highly recommend this tour.

Brilliant Bali bike ride experience. - I was really nervous so far from the hotel, taking so long to get there, no clue where I was going. But Kadek and his family and friends are so welcoming, experienced and knowledgeable. They are very safe and have back up options if needed. They are so generous and kind and I can't recommend them highly enough. It is so much more than a bike ride..

Fun, interesting - Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. The guide was chatty, extremely knowable and helpful. Our daughter was a little nervous cycling but was put at ease and looked after wonderfully. We left our purchase of coffee from the plantation in the car, the guide retired it to us that evening. Really kind. Highly recommend as a fun way of seeing the ‘real’ Bali.

Wonderful complete day. Highly recommended. - Had a wonderful complete day, good to do. We were picked up on time from our hotel in Sanur. After a car ride, we had a nice breakfast just past Ubud with a view of the rice fields. Then continue by car to a coffee plantation. Then continue by car towards Mount Batur. After this the cycling tour through the interior of Bali started. Wonderful to see how people live and work. You cycle through the rice fields and receive explanations about everything you want to know. After the bike ride you will receive an extensive lunch. You will then be taken back to your hotel. In short, a wonderful day out.

We LOVED this tour. - This tour was wonderful. Kadek was a great tour guide and the cycling part was mostly downhill and almost entirely small roads that were not busy. We LOVED the coffee farm, which we weren’t actually even thinking about when we booked the tour. Overall, this was a great tour. So beautiful and peaceful.

Fully immersive and revealing day. - We are a couple aged 58 and we don't regularly cycle, but this tour wasn't difficult for us. Our guide Kadek was engaging, and led us through a very revealing experience of how everyday Balinese families exist. This isn't your run-of-the-mill tourist fodder, its a genuine insight into what is usually unseen. Thoroughly recommended.

Amazing experience! - It was a fantastic day! We went through beautiful landscapes starting with a buffet-breakfast having a stunning view on Mount and Lake Batur, riding through lovely villages and picturesque rice fields. What we liked the most is the authentic feel of this tour where we don't visit a lot of touristic places but going through the real Balinese way of life. A BIG THANK YOU to Kadek (our guide) and Wayan (our driver) for your kindness and sharing about your culture. All the best!
