- Pesalakan Village Tours - Experience a unique opportunity to visit a local’s home and immerse yourself in traditional culture and cuisine. After being picked up from your Ubud hotel, you will head to a local market (if you have chosen the market tour option). Here, you will enjoy a guided tour of the market, discovering local Balinese produce such as cassava, ferns, lemongrass, and various types of bananas. You may even purchase spices or seasonal vegetables, which will later be used in a traditional Balinese cooking class. Following the market tour, travel to Santika’s home, nestled among rice fields, for your cooking class. Join your hosts in their stunning open kitchen and assist in preparing a variety of traditional Balinese dishes using local ingredients and spices. You will have your own workstation equipped with a chopping board, mortar and pestle, and stove, allowing you to cook alongside Santika. After the 1.5-hour hands-on cooking class, savor the delicious meal you helped create.

Santika’s residence is situated in Pesalakan village, surrounded by rice fields, and is just a 20-minute drive from the center of Ubud. Participants will immerse themselves in the beauty of Balinese culture and all it has to offer.

- Prices include round-trip transport from Ubud hotels that are located in the city center (only if your hotel is within the 10km radius from Santika’s home in Pesalakan Village). Please be sure to include your hotel name on the reservation form so your host can arrange for your pick-up. If you are staying outside of central Ubud (beyond the 10km radius) there will be an additional charge for transportation.
