Great experience in Bali - Gus and family were wonderful hosts for this class. We learned a lot about Balinese culture and the food was excellent. This tour was recommended by our local tour driver as the best in Bali and it did not disappoint. Wonderful food and cooking. Learned how to make fresh coconut milk and oil. Several recipes to try at home with substitute ingredients if we can't find them all. We have taken cooking classes elsewhere, and this was one of the best.

Great experience! Very informative and fun - We did the cooking class and it was such a good experience. Very informative, fun, and interesting. Convenient pick-up from hotel, then a short market tour. We were also given a refreshing welcome drink when we arrived, then a short house tour. The cooking class then began where we learned a lot and will definitely make at home (especially the yellow sauce!). There was a total of 2 sauces and 8 dishes, all of which were delicious. We enjoyed the meal after and had breaks in between, which was relaxing. Putu and his cousins were all very accomodating. Will definitely recommend to friends!

Best cooking class in Ubud - Gus, Putu, and cousins are so entertaining. We learned a lot about Balinese culture and cooking just few hours with them. Very friendly and accommodating, we were well taken care of during our whole class. They taught us 10 different dishes (including the Bali yellow sauce which is the base of everything). Would definitely go back for another class with different dishes.

Amazing and generous - This cooking class is incredible! I highly recommend the afternoon class - even though you won’t see the market (it is only open in mornings) instead you can experience coffee and tea tastings. So relaxing and fun! The cooking class itself was amazing. We learnt so much and ate some of the best food we’ve had in Bali. Gus and his family are so generous, it’s a privilege to learn from them.

Amazing food… well worth the time & effort! - We loved the whole experience. Gus and his family were lovely and the food we produced/ate was possibly the best food we had in Ubud. It was really tasty and it also expanded our knowledge of Balinese cuisine because if we had seen some of the menu items on a restaurant menu, we might not have picked them but now, we probably would. Highly recommended… 👍🏼

Fun activity to do in Bali! - I joined the Jambangan cooking class, and it was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere was so warm and inviting, and our instructor was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly passionate. We learned how to make some authentic dishes, and I loved every minute of it. The hands-on experience was fantastic, and I appreciated how we got to explore local ingredients and flavors. Plus, the food we cooked was simply delicious! It felt like a true cultural immersion. If you’re in Bali and looking for fun activities, I highly recommend this class. Can't wait to try these recipes back home!

Best Bali Cooking Class - This was a brilliant experience. We got picked up by the super friendly and outgoing Gus who brought us and the rest of the group to the market in the morning and explained the variety of fruits and vegetables! We had some time left so he suggested going to the Coffee Plantation which was an added bonus with complimentary tea and coffee. The cooking class itself was full of fun and so informative. The food and company was epic and would recommend anyone to try it out if you’re in Bali! Thank you Gus, Rakesh and Putu for such an enjoyable experience.

A great experience. - We had such a great day today. Went to the market, coffee plantation, past rice fields to this cooking school. It’s in a traditional home and they are very well set up for classes. We were only four today so had very personalised treatment- also a bit of history about the house. Everything was excellent and the food delicious. Pick up and drop off to our accommodation too. Thank you Gus and family

Cooking class with Gus - We took a cooking class with Gus and it was excellent. We felt right at home and all the people working at the Warung are so forthcoming and friendly. You not only get a cooking class you also receive information about the life of a Balinese family and their traditions. We cooked 6 meals and a dessert. We were there for 3h and the time flew by. I highly recommend this cooking class for everyone who is around Ubud.
