Hike Mont Batur with Tri, the best tour guide - OMG, what an experience. It was a beautiful hike. Us guide tour Tri is a wonderful women with so many qualities! I recommended her for sure!! Amazing sunrise hiking experience - That was amazing hike! The view was breathtaking. It’s something unique and worth to see. Walking around volcano was incredible. The hike was a little bit challenging and the summit was cold so I recommend to take a nice jacket with you!

Amazing experience - 10/10 great experience! The only thing I will mention is that the hike is pretty intense, and I would not reccomend for anyone who isn’t in good shape

Perfect experience with our guide Tri - At first we were really disappointed, because our trip got postponed due to uncontrollable circumstances. On the day we should have our hike, the driver got into an accident so he could not pick us up in the morning. But we managed to rebook our trip on the next day. Although this happened we had an overall great experience on the next day. Driver was on time and we got to the starting point early enough to start the hike. Our guide‘s name was Tri and she was a very good guide. She also took us to the great spots where we could take the best pictures. She was also very supportive taking our pictures. I would recommend her for the hike. The hike itself was overall managable if you have a good fitness. There some steep parts. I would recommend to wear proper hiking shoes. We were very lucky for the sunrise because the sky was clear and it was the most beautiful sunrise we have ever experienced.

Expert guide keeping us one step ahead of the crowd. - The Mount Batur sunrise is a must for any Bali visitor and mine was made even better by our guide Tri. Tri is a local from the village below and she expertly and knowledgeably led our small group up the volcano, always keeping us ahead and away from the crowds as possible. We were treated to a few extras I could see other groups were not getting, like finding new and better viewpoints, visiting the volcano steam and taking us the full 360 of the crater ridge. All this plus a very friendly and prompt pick up and drop off by her partner Wayan. There are a lot of options for trekking / tours in Bali, but I will pick this team again for my next adventure.

Great experience but crowded - Despite the early morning wake up call to meet the shuttle, my friend and I greatly enjoyed the sunrise that came out of the hike. We were there during peak tourist season, so trying to avoid others was tough, so would be ready for that. Also would recommend wearing appropriate footwear for a mountain hike and bringing a long sleeve for sit at the peak. Our tour guide was amazing and kind to try to ensure none of us fell.

Great experience - Our guide was fantastic, he picked one of the better less occupied spaces to watch the sunset. Really knowledgeable guy with a love for football which kept me and my husband chatting for ages. A difficult hike for a beginner but still really enjoyable.

Amazing experience. Must do when in Bali - My favorite thing we did on our trip to Ubud, by far. The views are absolutely stunning. It is an early wake up but totally worth it when the sun comes up and you can see everything. Ketut was our guide and he was great. He helped us take tons of great pictures and made the hike fun. He was fun to talk to and knows the mountain very well having grown up hiking it as a child. It was nice to be able to do the hike at our own pace.

Very nice experience! - Very nice experience! even though the climb was difficult for me and our guide was not cooperative... notably refusing to equip us with poles. The sunrise was very discreet that day, we particularly enjoyed the hot spring after the descent.

Disappointed - Having heard so much about this hike we were so looking forward to it however unfortunately we had a disappointing experience. The company picked us up from our hotel and drove us to the car park below the mountain along with all the other tours. Our guide was friendly although did not have a great level of English so there was no conversation. About half way up the mountain, the guide sent us ahead with another guide who was going at a faster pace and we were separated from the group. We were told that we would regroup at the summit and to continue ahead. When we tried to contact the guide through the company or ask them to get in touch with him on our behalf we were told that they didn’t know the name of the guide or have his contact details which we found very unusual. After searching for him for a while we ended up having to hike down to the bottom by ourselves by following other groups and being directed by their guides so as not to get lost. Thankfully we were able to regroup at the car park but we were really disappointed by the whole thing and felt as though we missed out on the experience. It just seemed badly organised. The views from the top were beautiful and the hike was a challenging but rewarding but we felt as though we basically did the whole thing ourselves and paid for a guide we didn’t even have. Im sure our experience was an unfortunate situation however I wouldn’t recommend this tour unless you are looking for more of a solo adventure.
