A TASTE OF BALI IN A CAPSULE - A taste of a Balinese traditional village life and ambiance for a day....I enjoyed the cool mountain breeze, Balinese houses, people dressed in traditional attire, and the yummy smell of durian......there are some shops selling souvenirs (prices are cheaper here) and food....

Penglipuran Village - Penglipuran Village is very pretty. Nice to walk through and pop in and out of the houses that are open there and all selling their wares. A pretty bamboo forest lies at the head of the village, then a temple, the very attractive houses and the cemetery at the feet of the village. An enjoyable hour or two can be spent ambling around the village. Not the most exhilarating visit during our trip, but definitely worth a look.
