- Gibbston Valley Winery - The first stop of the day is at the iconic Gibbston Valley Winery. Gibbston Valley is one of the region’s founding wineries and it’s here that we will join a guided tour through New Zealand’s largest underground wine cave and enjoy tastings of some of their world-famous wines.
- Kinross Winery & Cellar Door - Kinross is our second stop and a fantastic location to try a range of different wines across multiple labels. Along with producing their own wines, their cellar door host will also showcase wines from smaller producers and share their incredible stories of how they came to be. After your wine tasting, we allow extra time to enjoy lunch. Kinross has a range of delicious dishes on its menu, including pizzas, platters, smaller bites, and mains. This is ordered and paid directly on the day, giving you the flexibility to order what you would like based on your taste and budget.
- Mt Rosa Wines - Mt Rosa is a boutique owner-operated winery and their stunning location is situated just below the impressive Nevis Bluff. Sitting in the vines, their newly built cellar door building gives you a sophisticated backdrop to a delicious tasting menu. Their cellar door host will take you through different varieties of their single-label wines. Their mulled wine is a customer highlight!
- The Church Cellar Door and Cafe - We finish our tasting tour at The Church Tasting Room. This is a picturesque location, in a small refurbished church sitting on large sweeping grounds. This is the tasting room for Mt Edward Wines, who are a family-run producer in Gibbston growing small batches from single vineyard sites. Their wines include Pinot Noir, Gamay, Chardonnay, and Chenin.

Best wine tour! - There are not enough stars! Four wineries, great tastings, great guide! Dan kept us on track, pointing out landmarks along the way. The vineyards were beautiful, even at this time of the year. The wine samplings were amazing.

A fun and memorable day! - We had an incredible time on this tour, possibly one of the best we’ve attended in terms of how smoothly everything ran and how comfortable our guide made us feel. Our guide Alana made sure the group came together quickly in the beginning, breaking any ice and setting us up for a really fun day. The wines were beautiful and servings generous so I really felt like we got our monies worth. An incredible day all around!

Amazing honeymoon experience - What a great wine tour! Dan the driver was fun, knowledgeable and got along well with everyone. Such a lovely experience for my honeymoon Would highly recommend to any traveller wanting to do a wine tour in this spectacular region!

Amazing experience - This was a fantastic experience. Our tour guide was so nice and had amazing energy. The wineries and wines we tased were amazing as well. An excellent experience I would definitely recommend especially if you love wine.

A great tour made even better by our guide - Four wineries, 18 tastings, great wines and good company, what more could you ask from just 4 hours in the Gibbston Valley?
How about a tour guide who knows how to help people relax and get to know each other?
As we drove from Queenstown, Danny, our guide, expertly directed our getting to know our fellow travellers with his questions and comments. Which set the tone for a friendly atmosphere and lots of laughter as the day wore on. It was the best time I can remember having on a wine tour.
