Very enjoyable tours - Steven Attersol was our guide for 2 days. This Giethoorm and North of the Netherlands tour, and the Windmills and fishing village in another day. Steven is very knowledgeable in the history of the Netherlands. He gave us a glimpse of how people used to live, then and now. We enjoyed listening to all the stories, of what’s happening, etc he told us. He took care to change the timing to avoid the rain as much as possible while we had the open boat ride. He also took us to off the beaten path places to walk around, to have lunch, etc. It was very enjoyable. My sister wanted to buy some cheese for her family. Steven took us to a place with very good cheese. My sister did not eat cheese much before but she said the cheese was very good after she went home. Must do Geithoorn canal tour! - This is a must do excursion. The village and canal tour was amazing. Glad we had a local private guide, it made the world of difference. Steve was amazing and we enjoyed chatting with him and getting know the local history and current events! You can't go wrong doing this tour!

Wonderful day in Giethoorn and north Netherlands. - My wife and I took the Giethoorn, Private Boat Tour & Exploring the North Netherlands By Private Day Tours Amsterdam tour. Steve is personable, friendly and full of knowledge about Netherlands history, culture and the sites visited. After driving us to this beautiful and unique village, he became our small boat captain for a tour of the canals. The timely pickup and drop off at our hotel plus his readiness to accommodate our interests and desires was much appreciated. He is an excellent driver and his vehicle is comfortable. Overall an outstanding tour. Well worth the price.

Fantastic day out, awesome guide - We had an excellent trip with Steven. He was extremely informative with an extensive knowledge of Amsterdam and its history. . Giethoorn was incredibly picturesque. The walking tour of the small township of Hasselt was extremely enjoyable. Being a private tour, Steven was able to answer all our questions and we were able to move at a pace that worked well for our group. I would highly recommend Steven and his tour. Thank you Steven!

Giethoorn is so charming--just like a day in Storybook Land! - We spent 3 days with Steve on 3 different tours. Each tour was 5 stars, so Steve is a 15-star guide! He is native born, has an engaging personality and has the knowledge to genuinely provide the experiences you are seeking. He weaves the character of the Dutch culture throughout his tours--a true professional. You will enjoy every minute spent with him. And, as a bonus, his English is superb and his driving impeccable!

The ONLY Way to Experience the Netherlands - Steve is AMAZING! We spent 4 days with him and were able to see and experience sooo much of the Netherlands! He is incredibly knowledgable about absolutely everything. He got us in all the museums we wanted to see, had prepaid transportation cards for us, arranged for a private plate painting session at the Royal Delft factory and more! Just let Steve know what you want to do, and he will find a way to make it happen! He was so patient with us as well and very easy going. We went off the beaten path and strayed from the itinerary quite a bit, but everything was absolutely seamless. Every little detail was perfect and our trip was so memorable thanks to him. For us, it's the little details that count. He even brought some bread from home so we could feed the ducklings and swans in Giethoorn! Touches like that make Steve and Private Day Tours stand out amongst the rest. That, and the fact we didn't have to worry about anything-his tours are all inclusive, from the museum admissions to the boat rental in Giethoorn. We were treated like royalty and are so thankful for Steve!

Wonderful and unique tour! - Excellent, relaxing tour of the village of Giethoorn, Netherlands with an hour boat tour of the town. Lots of time for lunch and shopping. We had a great time.
