Embark on a private, full-day sightseeing adventure to Giethoorn, one of Holland’s most picturesque villages, which includes an enjoyable one-hour canal cruise. Following Giethoorn, you’ll explore the unique Dutch park, the Zaanse Schans, featuring windmills that are considered to be Holland’s finest, including a paint windmill, a sawmill, a spices mill, and a peanut oil mill.
Next, you will have the opportunity to witness the crafting process of traditional Dutch clogs and have the option to purchase clogs, wooden shoes, and other souvenirs.
The tour will then proceed to the Henri Willig farm. Here, you’ll learn about their cow rearing practices, get a chance to watch the milking process, and even interact with new-born calves. After the tour, you’ll have the opportunity to sample over 30 varieties of exquisite Dutch cheese at no additional cost!
Your journey will commence from Amsterdam, where a professional driver/host will pick you up in a luxury Mercedes vehicle.

Pleasant day - working windmills - Very pleasant day with accommodating guide Singh.
The history of the windmills was fantastic.
Pace was perfect and allowed us to enjoy visiting a wooden shoe and a cheese making facility.
Easy walking.
Nice lunch on our own and ended up with a relaxing boat ride in the canals of the “Venice of Netherlands” .
Well worth a visit.

Great private tour for 4 - Great private tour for 4 people. In august suggest going earlier because there was a lot of boat traffic on the canal but really pleasant day.
From our hotel it was about an hour drive (in a nice Mercedes’ van) and an hour to get to Geithomme but worth the drive. Driver, Marteen, was very nice and accommodating.

Great private day tour with very knowledgeable guide! - Gillio was our driver/guide for the day! He was prompt at pick up and great at communication throughout our private tour day. He provided some information in a nice black folder of the places we were going to visit to give us some background on the areas we were visiting and also help us decide what we wanted to see in the short time we had. Great service all around 5+ stars!!

A Day In The Countryside with Mario - Mario was a wonderful addition to my travels outside of Amsterdam to be able to tour the countryside. He went out of his way at the venues that we attended to ask the operators at each site to provide me special presentation about the workings of the windmills, cheese making and I never felt pressured to not be able to take my time at each stop. When arriving in Giethoorn it began to rain and was quick to have the umbrella ready and walked ahead to purchase my ticket for the boat ride (covered). Added touch he carried my packages after some souvenir shopping. Great tour!

A Must! - Zaanse Schans & Giethoorn are a must see when visiting Amsterdam. The windmills at Zaanse Schans are definitely a bit touristy and crowded in the Summer months. Giethoorn is just a short drive out of the city of Amsterdam and your in a fairytale town. Cute and very unique

Highlight of our trip to Amsterdam! - Our family of four, including two 16 year old boys loved this tour. Gillio contacted me promptly after booking to set up a time and plan specifics. He arrived at our hotel as requested and provided us with a comfortable and very clean vehicle. Although this this tour is not guided Gillio provided us with a vast amount of information and was very personable. The tour of Giethroon was beautiful and our boat was arranged as requested. Our boys thoroughly enjoyed this quaint town. The Windmills were a hit as well, with providing beautiful pictures. We had a bit of extra time an Gillio offered to take us to a family owned cheese and clog shop. It was wonderful and the cheese was some of the best I've tasted! This tour was fantastic and I recommend using this company.

We were scammed by your tour guide. He said we owed him more money. We paid him $110. He needs to be fired. - Can only think about the fact that our tour guide scammed us. Told us we had to pay for windmill tour $10. That was supposed to be included. Then requested more money because we went over on the time. It was a full day tour. Spent most of the time on the road. We had no choice but to pay him when he took us back to our hotel. Want to make sure this guy gets fired so he doesn’t scam any more people.
We gave him $200 and got no receipt. BK-851083274 on July 29, 2022.
