Take an extended tour of Girona’s Medieval and Jewish quarters with a knowledgeable local guide. This 3.5 hour journey includes guided visits to the city’s major landmarks (entrance fees included).
Girona, being more than 2000 years old, embodies a multitude of historical treasures in its Medieval Quarter. With well-preserved Roman relics and a wealth of artistic heritage, the town is perfect for sightseeing on foot. The tour will continue to the remarkable old Jewish Quarter characterized by its narrow lanes. The tour commences at our designated rendezvous point (Plaça Sant Feliu). Please note, pick up service is not provided.
- A minimum of 2 people per booking is required
- Usually the tour starts at 10:30am but if you need another scheedule, please contact us!
- If you come from Barcelona the best option is to take the high speed trains AVANT. They last only 35 minutes to Girona city and are very comfortable. There is about 20 minutes on foot to our meeting point. We recommend to buy the tickets in advance beause this kind of trains are usually crowded.
- Please note: Girona is situated on a hill and has lots of stairs and slopes. If you have any difficulty to walk in these areas, they may not make this tour. Not recommended for people who need wheelchairs.

Girona tour - Our guide, Julia, was very knowledgeable and patient with us. There was a lot of climbing, but we did it! Great tour.

Wonderful time hitting the Highlights - We were fortunate to come during a slow period and we were the only ones on the tour. Gave us lots time to ask questions and learn about the culture of Girona, not just the 3 places we visited. Ona was our tour guide and wow is she a smart individual and a great representative for the tour agency and Girona. She knew so much about the history and the present day that my very intelligent wife was able to have long conversations about all aspects of life and culture in Girona and the US.
The cathedral was beautiful and full of cool historical objects dating back to the 11th century. The Arab baths were nice and Saint Feliu Basilica had some interesting history but this high rating was for the Cathedral, the history of Girona, and Ona, our guide.
Ona also directed us to the best part of the ancient wall to walk and had plenty of food recommendations for us. She went above and beyond to make our visit to Girona the best it could be.
I recommend this tour for anyone visiting Girona.

Highly recommend - Ona is a very knowledgeable and personable guide. The tour was very informative and conducted in a casual manner with lots of tips on what to do and see in the region. A stark contrast to all the other huge group tours that were starting in the same place.

Amazing and highly recommended tour - What a great tour!!! Our guide was so knowledgeable and she had so many recommendations for after the tour. There is no way we would have found all the historic sites and spots if we didn’t have a guide. If you can do a small group or private tour it’s 10000 percent worth it. We saw huge groups that had no time to do anything, couldn’t interact with their guides and took up the tiny streets walking in groups of 30-50 it was crazy.
You can’t go wrong with this tour and company 👏👏👏

Ask for Michael to really understand Girona - Michael was beyond knowledgeable plus a true local. Still living in the area he included the changes in Girona. We learned so much on this tour it was our favorite in Spain. Plus Girona is beautiful beyond words.

A lovely, lovely tour around Girona - They would have easily canceled the tour as they apparently needed at least two clients to go and I was the only one, yet, Monica (plus Miguel) graciously accommodated me and toured me around the Old Town even if I was the only client they had for the day (esp considering it wasn't peak season, so tours are not as packed as lean seasons)!
Such lovely and nice tour guides who knew the ins and outs of town so well. Since I booked two tours (this, plus the Game of Thrones tour), they combined it as the places are within similar areas, so both tours did not go to waste. I wouldn't have know which place was relevant to what, had it not been for the thorough guidance of these two angels. They gave me recommendations re other places to check out that can be visited without booking tours and places to eat as well.
I stepped into Girona with little knowledge of this little lovely town; I headed out with learnings and an appreciation of the beautiful medieval charm that tourists miss out on (cos most would reportedly bypass the city and head somewhere else that sounds more wellknown). Monica and Miguel (and Carme [I hope I got it right] - for keeping me up to date) - much gratitude for extending your warmth and kindness! Girona is a beautiful place!
