Pyramids of Dahshour - Then, visit the Dahshur Pyramids (Bent and Red Pyramids). Dahshur is a royal necropolis in the desert on the West Bank of the Nile, about 40 kilometers (25 miles) south of Cairo. It is known for several pyramids, two of which are among the oldest, largest, and best-preserved in Egypt, built between 2613–2589 BCE.
