Cairo trip - We had a private guided tour, prior to the trip, as soon as the booking was confirmed, we had immediate communication from the company helpfully answering any questions that we had. There was 3 people in our group, we were picked up from our hotel and set off at 2.15am to beat Cairo’s traffic, although it was an early start, we were given a spacious minivan which we were all able to relax in. We started off at the Pyramids of Giza, the tour guide Islam was very informative and took time to explain any questions we had. To enter the pyramids this was an additional option which we did not go for as one of our travellers has reduced mobility and inside the pyramids can be quite steep however this option is available if you did want to go inside. We moved onto the temples and seeing the Great Sphinx which was an experience in itself and got to take a lot of photographs. Whilst at this location, Islam mentioned some history of the Ancient Egyptians using Papyrus paper and the embalming oils for mummification to prepare us for our next trip to the Egyptian Museum. Islam was so thoughtful by taking us to a Papyrus paper factory to show how the paper was made. Islam also took us to a perfume shop where we were able to see what perfumes would have been used for the purpose of mummification. We were able to purchase a beautiful smelling organic perfume which was good quality and reasonably priced. The Papyrus factory and perfume shop were not originally included in the itinerary of our trip however Islam went above and beyond to ensure we would have a full experience. We then stopped at a Buffet restaurant in Cairo to enjoy our meal. Our last stop was the Egyptian Museum to see all of the ancient artefacts. We left Cairo around 5/5.15pm and got back to our hotel. The travel time can be around 6/7 hours there and back depending on traffic even in a minivan however we paid additional for comfort for just the three of us which the company delivered. This trip was our most favourite during our whole holiday. It is such a surreal experience being at one of the 7 wonders of the world. We could not have had a better experience without this company and especially Islam our tour guide. Islam stayed with us throughout all of our excursions and was able to intervene whenever we were being approached by sellers to ensure additional safety and comfort. Thank you so much
