Our guide, Soha, made the trip superb! - Our day trip from Alexandra Port to the Giza Pyramids was spectacular! Now, the pyramids and the other sights of Giza and Cairo (and Alexandria) would have been great all by themselves, but they were brought to life by our wonderful guide, Soha. Soha was absolutely the best! Not only did she have extensive knowledge of Egyptian history and culture, both ancient and modern, but her warm enthusiasm was infectious. Her descriptions and commentary made the 2+ hour drive to Gize/Cairo fly by, and even made the 106ºF (41ºC) desert heat (outside the air conditioned car, of course) bearable. By the end of the day, Soha felt like family. On the practical side, Soha's English was great, making her an excellent translator (as we speak NO Arabic), and Mahammed's driving was skillful -- have you seen how people drive in Alexandria and Cairo??!! -- and efficient, ensuring that we returned to our cruise ship with time to spare. Another thing to consider: since our group consisted only of the two of us plus Soha and Mahammed, we were able to spend as much -- or as little -- time as we wanted at the various stops (including those not on the schedule!) rather than be herded along in a large group, like sheep. If a visit to the Giza Pyramids is on your bucket list, this is the way to go!

Great tour - Great experience. Felt safe and driver and guide were very knowledgeable. I will definitely recommend this tour. Was an amazing experience and you definitely need the help of a local guide to avoid being asked tips and money from everyone around you

Great one day tour visit Cairo from Alexandria cruise port - Great tour to visit Cairo and Pyramids in one day arriving by cruise. Our guide Dina waits us at the port gate with our names (remember you should walk out to the cruise port gate) as expected. She is knowledgeable about ancient Egypt and we visited the Pyramids ,Sphinx ,Egyptian museum. It is a long hour tour and we didn’t have energy to see more. Dina is great. Thanks

Awesomeness at it Finest - We had a wonderful time Dina (Tour Guide) and Sameh (Driver) were showed everything we imagined and more. Along with an in depth history lesson on Eygypt. The driver kept us on time and navigated perfectly through a city of 30 million people. We would definitely love to go with them again and recommend them to any future tours.

Road trip like no other - It was a fun and memorable experience. It was a road trip like no other - Wessam explained the history as best she could, condensing the story with props and all. My guide was very accommodating and always making sure that I was comfortable throughout the duration of the trip

nice day in Cairo! - Christine was such a well knowledge and kind woman, she was so nice to talk with all day and made sure we were having a good time. We got to see the pyramids and ride a camel so we had a successful day. Hindsight being 20/20 we wish we would have asked about hitting the museum instead of the shopping. We weren't able to have lunch as we ran out of time since we had a change in our itinerary seemed to create directional issues maneuvering from Alexandria to Memphis to Cairo.

Mostly good experience - Pickup was from Alexandria port, but tour driver didn't have license to enter gate of port so had to walk several hundred yards past taxi stand and bridge to meet van, which was hard for elderly mother. Had to do the same after return. Driver did a good job, even though most drivers in Cairo drive recklessly. In addition to driver and guide, security guard also came along on trip. First guide was Mehdat, whose English is not fluent, which made communication while traveling from Alexandria to Cairo frustrating. In Cairo, another guide named Mina replaced Mehdat for visit to pyramids and museum. Mina's English and knowledge of the sites we visited was excellent. Tour included stops at Papyrus Institute and essential oil shop for sales presentations. Tour included buffet lunch, which was nice. Camel rides are available for extra charge at pyramids and worth doing. On return trip, Mehdat replaced Mina on way back to ship. Having so many different persons involved in tour increases tipping, so plan accordingly. Tour did a good job of returning on time. Consider using another operator with access to port if limited mobility issues.
