Pyramids of Dahshour - Dahshur pyramids were an important learning experience for the Egyptians. It provided them with the knowledge and know-how to transition from step-sided pyramids to smooth-sided pyramids. Ultimately their breadth of experience would allow them to build the Great Pyramid of Giza; the last of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World still standing to this date.
The first of the Dahshur pyramids was the Bent Pyramid (2613–2589 BC), built under the rule of King Sneferu. The first attempt at building a smooth sided pyramid, but proved to be an unsuccessful build due to the miscalculations made on the structural weight that was being placed onto the soft ground (sand, gravel, and clay), which had a tendency to subside. Other calculations that were proven to be erroneous were that the blocks being used were cut in such a manner that when placed onto the pyramid their weight was not distributed appropriately, causing the angle of the pyramid to be off and achieving the name “the Bent Pyramid.

Amazing tour - My tour last week was great tour with Discover Luxor. Randa my guide picked us up very easy from hotel and we went in to the Pyramids plateau and The Saqqara Pyramids and ended with The Egyptian museum. We are so pleased with the tour and the guidance. Randa made our trip full of joy and experience with a very smooth way. She is absolutely the best tour guide.

Excellent Tour For a backpacker! - Egypt Highlights Tour was including the Pyramids of Giza with step pyramid complex and Memphis capital. I was picked up from Cairo Airport upon arrival to Cairo. I had one day only to visit every place of the trip. Discover Luxor provided me the most knowledgeable guide they have. Azzam is beautiful mannered person. I got spend the whole day with Azzam at The Pyramids of Giza, Saqqara and Memphis. He is great man and I felt like a brother to me. I have honor to recommend you Azzam to myself friends who plan to visit Egypt. I will tell everyone about you and your professionalism. My trip to Egypt ended with great memories!

Best Experience with Randa and Discover Luxor - We couldn’t be happier than this today. Discover Luxor team did the best of them to make me and my family happy and we really are happy. Our Cairo 2 days tour is absolutely amazing . Our time well spent with Randa. Well understood of the Egyptian history and culture. Randa as a female tour guide exceeded our expectations and went far and beyond to make this tour a life time tour. We are very happy to learn from her about the Egyptian families traditions. Wonderful Tour!! - Khaled in Cairo made our full day tour around the pyramids unique experience. A very knowledgeable Egyptian guide with university graduation. Hospitable Tour Agency!! - The whole tour from our guide to our driver was very prompt. Pyramids visit in the early morning was great. Also, our tour guide was very professional and gain priceless information about the history of Egypt. Now I can say that we have become Egyptologist! Having an amazing guide with skills of photographer is a must to get all your memories saved well!!

Knowledgeable and passionate tour guide - Firstly, Our guide Azzam picked us up from our apartment on time. We went to a local Egyptian restaurant of koshery. Azzam made us feel extremely safe and welcomed all the time. Our visit to the Pyramids was full of fun and experience. Our driver Akram was very nice and accommodating with his clean car. We recommend this tour company to any one in Cairo

Great Tour!! In Cairo - I recommend Hashem as a tour guide in Cairo!! He messaged us the day before tell us the plan and was always available for questions. He picked us up just on time and our driver was very friendly with the car clean. Hashem and the driver were very helpful all the time , They even stopped at a super market to get for us some snacks. Hashem is very knowledgeable on everything and his English is perfect ! Lunch was nice. Overall, the tour was great. We appreciate all your efforts and also the pictures were taken along the way for us.
